You could normal the inputs on the buffered mult too, like you did on the passive one. Love the series. BTW!

but it is a filter and not an lfo ;)

Great module from David H... Easy and chaep and works. Pitty no.. trigger input.
3 года назад
Hmmm, Trigger input on an LFO, kind of like an envelope generator, but with the whole curve? Or how do you mean?

capacitor 2 from david haillant bom, ceramic 1uF (105) is no where to be found (at least for me). Could this be replaced by an electrolitic 1uf? if so, how could i place it, since they are polaraized

great video, liked and subscribed, a quick question, I can't quite see from the separate schematic blocks how you would connect the 3 sections together, I'd really appreciate a heads up?

Found your channel this weekend and I love the MiaW videos. I am going home and building a version of the x6 oscillator tonight to start tinkering, but based on a 74HC14 since thats what I have. I have some clementinlådor I have saved for some fun hack and I think I am going to build a modular-ish synth in one of them. You talk about your protoboards and show them off a bit in some videos, I assume you did those yourself ? If so, are there better pictures of how they are set up? And maybe you have gerbers available? :)

I am still prototyping these boards and making sure they work. I’ll make some kind of production of them and open sourcing the gerber files in a bit. I need to finish my MiaW first. ;) the 74hc14 should work. Although they can’t handle 12v I think so check that before hooking it in.

Also clementinlådor should make a good modular box. Wooden panels is all the rave 😜

Hey, thanks for the video, I really got an idea how an lfo works. I only got one question: is the potiometer, which is controlled by the cv send by the lfo bypassed or does it also set the range of the modulation?
5 лет назад
In my build I didn’t add the range pot. In the schematics that David provides it shows where and how to add the range pot. If you add that you will get how much the lfo will modulate whatever parameter you choose to put it into.

Hello again! So, as you know, I have been plugging away at each build with success. There has been a lot of learning, but I've always been able to work things out and get the module built. Until this one :(. I tried all sorts of fixes and swapping. Put it on the breadboard and messed around. No nothing?!? I went onto a forum (not sure which at this moment, but I can find out) and found another simple lfo which works wonderfully. Very cool. So, my question/comment is this - as I searched through lfo's/vco's I noticed most use diodes or transistors in the oscillator cycle. Could that be part of the problem? Anyway, as always, thanks for the series. I guess I should expect some challenges. Speaking of which, I am now starting the VCLFO which looks like a monster! Fun! Ok, take care.

This seems to be quite a usual design for vcos/lfos so Itshould be quite straight forward. The vclfo has the same waveforms so you should be able to use only that if you get that to work. Also David hailliant sells pcbs for his simple life. I think they cost 5$ so not too much if you want to simplify the build.

@ That's true, forgot about the PCB's. Maybe I'll try that. (Just as a note, several times that I tried to get on his site it didn't open?) Thanks as always.

I have the same exact problem,I can't really find anything wrong with how i soldered It together but It still doesnt want to work at all

Hello! Putting the parts together for this one now. Noticed on the spreadsheet there is a blank in the list above the 10k uf cap. This module requires 2 of that part. Do you know what part that is? Thanks!

Um..... 🙄😂 I cant really see that there should be any. Sorry for the confusion. I’ll look into it a bit more when I get home.

@ No problem. I was just going to go through the schematic myself. Just wanted to make sure I got the right parts. Thanks.
