This was really helpful and sweet. I have all the same feelings about the 22 years I spent raising 3 kids. I am having trouble with the decluttering. They all have lots of stuff here at home. I guess I just need to ‘make’ them do something with it. One more thing- I loved how you’re okay with not being busy all the time. I’m having trouble answering the question “What do you do?” But I guess I shouldn’t care what other people think about what I do or don’t do.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I had a tough time letting go of some of their items which led me to let them decide on what to do with their things. And I can understand the challenge of explaining to others what you do. If you are content with who you are, it shouldn’t matter what others think. Enjoy the time you have now!

It’s such mixed emotions when our children leave our nest. I thought it would be tougher when my last child left but maybe because I already grieved, like yourself, during his second semester of senior year, I wasn’t as sad as with my first. I think it helped that my hubby and I had a trip planned. 😁

Great video. I've been an empty nester for over 15 years and love it. I started a second career in health coaching and love it. I get to see my 4 kids and their families but my husband and I are thoroughly enjoying this chapter in our lives.
