Great video, really easy to follow. Your timing is perfect as I need to do something for my girlfriend showing her running around the island of Ireland!
@@BooneLovesVideo It really was helpful! Had to play around with the null points in the end as they were doing funny things with the location icons, and when I was trying to curve the route everything was shifting weirdly when I turned off the Expression Path, so I fumbled my way through things! Pretty happy with it though, although I will go back to it to make some changes to some of the labels, and may add animation to some other objects in the scene. You can see the end results at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VMxgtpw-31o.html or on the site (although the page isn't finished yet) at nikkilove.co.uk/look-what-im-doing-at-school/
Thanks for the great tutorial. For my ancestry research I'm creating animated maps showing the locations were my family lived. Your tutorial will be very helpful.
Hiya! Thanks so much for the tutorial. I have a problem when I am trying to connect the markers to the path (having just created all the null paths using Points Follow Nulls), I hold shift and drag to connect the shapes with the null paths like you say, but it moves the markers to seemingly random locations on the page (mostly to the bottom right) or seems to make them disappear all together (possibly in the right place but changing size..?). Any idea what I might be doing wrong? Thanks!
Very creative technique, this would be very hard for mature painters to create this without effect create nulls from paths, I never even knew about this effect before.
Thank you for your awesome tutorial! It helped me a lot. But i have one question. When i try to change the position of the markers(null layers) to change the location, the path doesn't come along. :( Do you know why? I followed your tutorial from the beginning to the end. I don't know what's the problem. Thanks!
Great video! Following and learning a lot! Is there a chance to make a tutorial on topographic maps with geolayers 3? I'm not very keen in the default one in proyects
Thanks! Yeah I've been messing around with topo maps, but no tutorials planned. I'll take a closer look in the coming weeks and see if I can put something out for you.
Hey man I have a doubt : Whenever I'm animating maps , suppose first I have to do a zoom in animation to usa then animating position (while zoomed in ) to China Everything this is ok until now , But when I do a zoom out animation from here the map elements are gone and I am only left with background Plz upload a solution for this problem
@@BooneLovesVideo all I want to know that first I have to do a zoom in animation to one country and then animate position and then zoom out and then zoom in to another country . One more thing ( without using camera just by scaling up and down ) Sorry if it sounds confusing
@@zchwjmw Yeah you can just scale up the map, as long as your map is high enough resolution. And you'll need to parent everything together if that's the case. But still a good workflow.
There is no mistake in the map. That iis a disputed territory and this is a very normal representation of that situation. Chill down with your nationalism man, this is about AE tutorials
