Jus watched the nostylist breakdown I didn’t know that the melody was made by chef9 bro is mad talented. It low-key gave me hope because I’m pretty good at drum patterns, but I suck at making melodies but have an ear for picking out good loops. That video showed me that you can still make fye beats even if you feel like a drummer lol thanks a lot man much appreciated!

ay dropping some drums in early is a great way to keep thing not so crowded. overproducing is a huge problem for me and i've found that creating my melodies and drums behind an acapella was the easiest for me to develop my writing to keep it simple and not over crowd the vocals. try it out!

I made a melody for a beat the second I sat down and played 3 notes to make sure my keyboard was working don’t over think it and if you catch your self over just add another layer with one of the sounds you have put already most times you can completely change the vibe of the melody with fx good sounds and layers bro layers are goated
