Ah I love New Gold Dream, a beautiful peice of art. This album helped me through my formative years and was my solace through my youth. Thankyou for this, evokes a whole load of beautiful memories. Peace & Love 🤜💛🤛

Best album from the eighties. Growing up in Sydney simple minds had already a big following. At the time no band was cooler. Hunter and the Hunted is such an amazing track. Love this album. Good choice 👍🏻

In my top 10 albums of the 80s, may even be no.1 as the years go by and each listen is like an eargasm, mindgasm? Just stunningly beautiful from beginning to end. Great review guys thanks!🤗🤗

I still listen to this album regularly. Absolutely love Hunter and the Hunted. Never knew Herbie Hancock played the solo until watching this.

This album, plus Sons and Fascination remained on my tape deck and played everyday in 1983-84, when starting out at clubs and gigs here in Melbourne. Still takes me back to more easier, innocent days of musical discovery.

Better times lets face it lads. 21st century is crap so far. Take me back there now. The only tech in our lives was electronic music, real light bulbs, landlines, and 4 star petrol powered cars. Innocence. I want to go back and be enjoying all these bands when we were younger. Gary Numan, Devo, Ultravox!, Roxy (Eno) Music, and although not for here The Damned. Take me back please.

Great vid again guys. I do rate this album very highly as everything seems to click with a lot of great tracks my favourite being Someone up there likes you such a great chilled instrumental. Another band did a great version of New gold Dream (Utah Saints) which was nearly as good the original but you can never beat the proper version

The incredible Mick MacNeil makes this album with his out of this world synths. They're just a shadow of themselves without Mick and Derek.

Loved Simple Minds but went off them a bit after this LP when they lost their experimental edge. I think it is often overlooked how ahead of the game they were in late 70s/early 80s.

Charlie's jangling guitar, soaring synths & great rhythm section. What's not to like! Jim Kerrs voice, which I might add seems even now to be as strong as ever.
