Simple Minds Real Live Barrowlands Glasgow 13.8.1991 

My brother went to this concert on his own from a small Scottish Borders town - he was the biggest SM fan. He had kept all his concert tickets and this was one of them. Sadly he died in July 2022 suddenly at the age of 52. How could we not play Don't You Forget about Me at his funeral (albeit the acoustic version)? We also played When Spirits Rise and The Silencers (Can You Feel It). He would have loved it. RIP Neil - every SM song holds memories of you x

I'm somewhere in the middle in there, 23:04 Gives me goosebumps remembering the whole crowd just going nuts as the song started. Even the ticket queue for the concert was amazing, a big all day street party.

Charlie never sounded better than the Real Life tour. Just brill. Also isn't it brilliant to see no mobile phones and people just having a great time rather than just filming it?!

One of the most underrated bands ever!!! Even though they got really big they weren't appreciated enough thier early stuff was amazing would still be amazing if it just came out today original and fresh, far better band than U2

Jim was looking fit in 1991. No wonder Patsy's head was turned. ... I really enjoy watching the rendition of the song 'Real Life'. Love the lovely bridge. Very romantic.

I love Simple Minds live music, sounds and atmosphere are magic, i think they are one of top 5 music band of music history with Pink Floyd, the Doors, Iron Maiden, Beatles....

Thanks to the guy I worked with in Millet's in Union Street, Ronnie, who was in his own band. Cause he stood for hours then me and my workmate George McNeil stood in with Ronnie so we could get into this concert in 1991. Still one of the best bands I've ever seen live!
