Another wonderful mixed media look Chrissie, and love the way you add a little bit of this and a little bit of that, and the finished result is wonderful. The Sizzix set you have used for the layered inked and die cut butterfly has given a fabylous result and looks great resting on the white squares..so pretty with the added pearls, and the die cut sentiment stands out well in white too..a brilliant design with lots of texture too. x

I love mixed media, and over the years, my style has changed a lot. We learned back in 2013/4 by making canvases & larger journal pages. I mostly make tags now and ephemera/fodder bits to add to small journals. Loved this card and also liked the yellow. You have inspired me to get out into my craft space & start playing tomorrow. Its very late (early) here in Australia...should be in bed. I have discovered a new (to me) stamp designer. It's Alison Bomber at Paper Artsy. She has a beautiful Berry stamp set called Fodder Berry edition, which not only has beautiful berries but little bits & bobs of script & grungy bits which would work well on this piece.

Well you might not have been a fan of yellow before but I think you may just change your mind. Stunning card. You have mastered multi media for sure. I love the colors, the texture, the Louvre effect with just a hint of color and then setting the butterfly apart with the three squares. Artistic wonder for sure. Thank you

Aren't all flights of fancy a bit wild? I adore watching you create your mixed media cards, however, I am reminded that I'm not crafting nearly enough. I've tons of inspiration and ideas but I'm not following many artists' advice to 'DO IT.' But I have enjoyed another lovely morning coffee "art lesson." Another beautiful card.

Gorgeous card Chris, I love yellow but I know I am in the minority of crafters in that. I always enjoy watching you do a mixed media card, I can tell you enjoy it too! Marion Emberson does a lot of multicolor embossing with out wasting any by doing it one color at a time and flipping the card to put leftovers back and then covering the entire thing to catch any spots with final color. I hope that helps even though you hardly wasted any. Thanks Chris!!

I don’t like shaking off any between applications as lots invariably goes where I don’t want it. I’d rather waste a tiny bit or use the mixed left overs for something else!😊

That's a great die as it cuts really close, most don't seem to do that. I have never managed to finish a mixed media because I never like what I have done. Not sure why, yours always looks lovely.🤔❤

Beautiful endresult. I wonder how it had turned out if you had made the 3 squares in a teal-ish colour. I think the butterfly would have popped then. But I do like a bit of a monochromatic colour theme.
