Been natural for over 10 years and the pineapple method NEVER worked for me. I used to think it was just me but I finally decided to seek help lol. Glad it’s not just me ! I will definitely give this technique a try
This is why wash and gos are so hard for me, cuz the next day my hair is flat flat. Yours came out really good. I never thought to stretch it out either. I don't use blow dryers, but I might need to invest in one.

Same...I use to pineapple, but then the sides and the back would not go back into place so I stopped. What I do now is just put a bonnet on and go to bed. Then fluff out with my hands in the morning. The trick is moisturized hair. I notice the more moisturized my hair is the better it shapes back into place in the morning. My hair gets not so happy by day 5 (i wash on Saturday, gets a bit stiff around Thursday), but my job drains the hell out of me, and push wash day to day 7 😅.
I have the same nighttime routine (I call them mini puffs) the regular pineapple method never worked out for me. I want to try stretching my hair more but I’m always afraid of losing my curl definition, I’ll give it a try this week!
Wow opposite is the case for me. My hair holds onto definition more if I band and the stretching lasts for days. Heat stretching on the other hand sends the curls packing and lasts for a day and a half. Natural hair truly is a wonder 😅

I don't think there's a way to eliminate them entirely but I'd say stretching my hair helps and also washing my hair before it gets too dry. The drier my hair is, the more likely is to get matted.. leading to single strand knots.
Ur hair is pretty. My hair goal as far as shape...length (maybe until I can't handle the length) and movement. What type of hair cut/shape do you have? Getting mine trimmed/shaped in a couple of weeks and looking for ideas🤷♀️. Thanks 😁.

So glad to come back from my RU-vid hiatus to one of your videos! I definitely use a similar method, but since my hair is shorter, I still use pineapple method since the hair in the back likes to shrink (Especially after a workout/shower). Oh- do you have any updated workout tips for natural hair?
Do you stretch your hair with the blow dryer every day? I band my wash and go’s and it keeps my hair stretched to the shape I like, not too much and curls still defined
I won't blow dry it if I'm in the house but if I have plans to go out OUT I usually do. I feel like using heat gives it a little extra stretch for me. But banding can be just as effective sometimes too!
