I like it. The rim is a character feature for sure. Love the odd bark sections too. Well done.

Thanks Doug, went on a bit but I was aiming teaching points at a friend new into bowl turning so I laboured the mounting, design, finishing sections a bit. but yes that rim especially when turned to an uneven edge about 1½" wide is a great pick up on a piece

The contrast of the pale wood against the bark is so beautiful

Thank you, I was concerned that I spoke too much and included to many different items making for a long video so your comment makes me happy to read.

@@PeteTwistedTrees I have learned so much from you, Mike, Mark, Brian, William and Doug. On your video you used the M33 nut and encased it with an overlay and probably glued as well. I never thought of doing that, I just epoxied them in. Brilliant idea. The collet when sanding, again brilliant.

Obviously most of us chat to each other, I like to think that between us we show enough different styles and techniques to inspire fresh ideas and maybe teach a thing or two along the way.

Nice little piece Pete, must add a waterfall rim to my list of forms I want to try 😁

they are easier and more dramatic on bigger pieces, but an interesting and different look.
