I had been struggling with removing/adjusting my headlight as I was unable to loosen the bolt underneath it. But you have given me a good tip and I am going to try again. Also, I had been dreading installing any accessory as I was thinking I will have to remove the entire fairing due to this inaccessible bolt. Thank you for this video. Also, it would be great if you could tell us more about your fog-light/aux light install and the wiring for it. Cheers!
On my G310GS I found it you loosen up all 4 of the headlight bolts then loosen up the adjustment screw on the bottom then point the headlight down then you can reach the two bottom bolts up better
@@fish0n2 I am unable to access the screws at the bottom of the headlight. From what I understand, those are the adjustment screws? My headlight kinda points upwards and to the trees when I switch on high beam so I wanted to adjust it, but I was unable to.
@@aduityadarnal7259 so I have a 2021 I have 4 screws on my head light and one adjustment screw also so all I did was loosen the adjustment screw and pull the head light down to access the 2 head light screws let me know if this helps
Hi Larry, really nice video. I am aiming for the same setup ... did you used any convertor ? connected the socket to the USB and then straight to your quadlock ? asking cause I imagine voltage should be 12V on the bike and 5V2A to the quadlock head.
The connectors behind the headlight are ready to go for the heated handgrips and a usb. I used the oem usb kit. Part number in the description. Thanks for watching.
@@ADVLARRY thanks man! Didn’t know you had an 850 also. That’s what my dad rides and sent him that link so we can prepare our bikes for off roading. Looking forward to new vids and trips
Larry what do I need to be aware of when mounting a radiator guard the doesn't exactly line up (3/8") with the upper bolt holes? Should I cut 3/8" off the top of guard around the electrical box or remove the electrical box and tuck the guard up under it? Appreciate your thought's.
@@ADVLARRY Kodaskin off Amazon. I got it. Had to dremel cut 1\8" a recess the length of the electrical box. Skid plate is next. Any recommendations on a brand?
hello nice video i got the same bike , this usb is it fast charcher or a regular , please answer it would be realy helpfull to make me get a decision if it worth to invest on that ?
When removing the headlight, will I mess upp the setting for the light? In other words: will I need to do some settings when installing the headlight again to get the same light setting?
@@tetsuoshima1143 Quad Lock sells a anti vibration kit. They also have a list of bikes that they suggest you use it with. I definitely suggest using it on the 310.
I bough the USB kit. It didn’t come with a connector cord to the light. Is there an existing connection cord by the back of the headlight that will reach the USB connector or do I need to buy a connection cable?
I got it. I really appreciate all the help. I will say it was harder than I thought. Getting the connector cords separated from the zip tie was difficult. Drilling the hole was easy but threading the nut on and getting it tight was a challenge. Then trying to put the headlight back on was tough. It’s probably just me. Haha I love the setup. This was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again man.
