Great information also I have this nt530 for Porsche 08 997.1 4s I was looking for this information with my car just on no engine start up does this require the vehicle to be running?
Didn't work on my 997.2 with current Foxwell Updates. I do see some Range numbers in the "engine data" section, but nothing about ignitions. States "Nmax stored for range 1 [h]". Ranges 1-6.
The ignitions are how many times the cylinders have fired. All of them for this car are in the first range, which is the safe range (probably below redline, like 7200RPM ? for the 987 cayman). Range 2 is slight overrev, which is not that bad. This car has zero, which is good. I bought a used Cayman that had a few tens of ignitions in that range, and didn’t have any problem. Overrevs in the higher ranges are more worrisome. I wouldn’t buy a car with any number of ignitions in those ranges.
