Thanks! I used this knot to make a lanyard for my glasses. I simply placed the paracord along side of the arm and tied it per your instructions. The nice thing about doing it this way, is the working end of the lanyard is parallel to the glasses while most other knots are perpendicular. This way the lanyard is not in the corner of my eyesight which is distracting.

No, I think this is a halyard hitch that's not tied to anything and is just tightened on itself. Look at the example on Animated Knots by Grog

@@derptothemaxclearly Ah yes, I looked back at Grog knots and it is the Stevedore stopper knot. Even says there that "the Stevedore Stopper has the same structure as the Halyard Hitch but is not attached to a shackle." My bad!

I still don't understand after all these videos that you don't use a pair of cutters to cut cord it's like 100 times easier than a knife or scissors.
