😊😊😊😊😊 Congratulation to you JC, and Mrs. JC. For your beautiful farm, and with Buddha blessing it will last thousands of years to come. Thank you for your beautiful videos.
Very long time since contact. Dozens of Thailand vlogs now. But few as good as yours. You inspired many of us to go there. (Bar girls my fault). Thanks.
Here is an idea. I know you like to read and ask questions and honestly who doesn't? But sometimes it is faster and easier to get with farmers or people in the know. Here is what I think that would also make for a great video. Invite a bunch of farmers from around the area, people who sell plants, business who sells stuff for soil, bugs, etc. Have them over for a huge cookout and each person give a speech on some things that could improve what you are trying to do. Of course put subtitles so we can all learn as well. You could really move your project forward. I thought this would be interesting and seeing as we are all part of this in one way or another, even just viewers or subscribers, we would all benefit. Second idea, is lease out plots of your land to subscribers who would pay for labor, supplies etc. and the food grown would be sold at local markets to give the profits to charity. And maybe besides the lease fee for you guys, you could get a percentage of the profit to go towards whatever your needs are for whatever. You certainly have enough land for sure to lease it out. Love your videos and what you do just the way you do it. It is fun to be a back seat driver and make suggestions. :)
Nat has a look on her face when you ask her questions. She's wondering what you've got planned for her next. BTW, lemongrass repels snakes. I'll bet you can buy coconut coir cheap as dirt. The coir is an excellent amendment for clay soils. I would recommend sorghum-sudangrass. It will generate tons of biomass both above and below the ground. It's a great way to transform that clay soil into something useful. It also makes a super feedstock that will grow twelve feet tall. Cattle, rabbits, sheep, and goats love it.
Hi JC, may I recommend a RU-vid channel to you? Aussie guy who has been doing a homestead gardening/ organic. He learned that avocado do not grow in clay soil. Very informative stuff.
Sawdeekrup,🙏🏻 JC..Nate Always enjoy your videos Hoping to join your group soon....as I am making plans to visit....look around....RECON... In August.... Great job on the farm.... Puck
Congratulations JC. I cant believe it's been year already. So special to have friends like you and Nat who graciously share their dreams and encouragement with so many. Your late no-legged visitor reminded me of what a friend who spent a good part of his life in combat as Marine Recon said: "There's only two things in this world that scare me, and that's The POLICE and women". Too bad he never had the benefit of knowing a dedicated and kind woman like you are blessed with JC.
Amazing transformation after just 1 year - imagine what it would look like after 10. Did you really say that you thought your chickens had, or might get, Covid? Wow?
Hey guys, a great video. You say you are going to cut the eucalyptus trees and just let it lay on the ground? I wouldn't do that. Too much oil in them. Learned from experience to use it for fire wood or sell it for the oil. It was a nice tour around your garden. Didn't realize it had already been a year.time flys when you are having fun.
looks like everything is growing well, with the exception of the vegetables. The dock on the pond would be a nice addon. Could I suggest building a floating dock instead of a dock on stilts. This maybe an easier idea and since the ground is clay stilts maybe unstable.
really like your videos !....may i also suggest you buy some plant tags....they wrap around each plant and you can write 9with water proof pen or marker) the name of each plant or tree.
JC, sorry I actually love snakes, however, I can understand concern, there are as I think, there are more venomous snakes, than non venomous snakes, there in Thailand, so you need to be so careful. Especially with the children, like the little boy(sorry If forgot his name that means frog I think). But, what is far more dangerous, is the rats, and mice, weavels, and ticks. There was a recent study, that said, 1 snake kills 2500 ticks a year, b/c they are attached to the rats they eat, and the snakes stomach acid kills the ticks. But, the rats bring cantavirus, rabies, salmonella, and many other nasties. And in Asia, since everyone eats rice, as the main staple, of their diet. You did say about water snakes. Watch, and be careful, there is 3 very venomous water snakes, in Thailand. 2 are very pronounced, with colors. However, 1 looks like the common American water snake, and they are very venomous, but not very aggressive, but all can be deadly. Just be careful my friend, I don't want to see any of you get hurt, every time, I see Nat, go walking into the high grass, my heart skips a beat. But, another great informative video, your going to make it so green, that you will have tigers and elephants back soon, lol
