I just wanted to say that you do the most beautiful work and it’s always spot on and easy to follow and I love all your little saying that you say and I just wanted to say to you. Thank you very much.
I love watching your videos, with all the different ideas you come up with. Using the stencils made me think of all the stencils I’ve got but not using. With trying to catch up on all your videos, it doesn’t leave much time to do the projects. Thanks 😀😀😀😊
Apparently, I've been living under a rock because I just found you, but in my defense, I'm new to this. You're so easy to watch and I love your style and the way you talk to yourself (I'm a member of that club myself). I'll be going back to watch all of your videos - thanks for sharing and making me laugh. Take care.
Don’t try to stop me! I’m starting on mixed media! This would be a great way to start! These ate georgeous. I do feel sorry for the poor bird. Struck down in the prime of his life…. Hugs, treen 😂😂😂😂💕💕💕💕💕
I have been binge watching you videos since I found a few months ago-the. I go back and watch the again! You are such a breath of fresh air! Some days I run my phone down almost completely watching your videos! I get such good ideas from you so thanks and keep em coming!!!😘
Here am I the Trivia Queen: the reason you and most Americans call eating corn "sweet" corn is that it is .... sweet. Well, sweeter than field corn that is fed to the animals. I like your tags with the stencilling and cut flowers. I'm with you as far as using one brush for whichever color comes to hand.
Hi Julie. We had a dog called Soxy who loved corn on the cob. My husband grew it every summer and when he was picking it he always gave a cob to her. She would hold it between her paws and eat it raw. We have some great pictures of her eating it .Sadly she died a couple of years ago. We had her for 16 years. 💕
The text on your backdrop book page was hilarious. "So the case is closed?" "Like legs in a nunnery." 🤣 I don't know if that choice was intentional, but it made my day! Thanks for always providing laughs with your crafting. 💕
Julie, you are such a delight to watch. I love how you said if you had a memory you would be better at mixed media. I think you are great just as you are!!! I have ordered items that I watch a crafter using and when they arrive, I forget what video I watched and what I need them for, lol. I guess I'll have to write it all down, journal it, lol. Keep doing what you do- you are very talented. Thanks for sharing, Blessings to you and yours.
Thank you so much Melinda☺️yep, that's the same with me, so i;m going to start cracking on and messing with all the stuff i have and see what it does and what happens. I know some people will cringe, but they doen't have to watch😅🤗💜
Paused to comment because I don’t want you to mess up your ink pads. You can go from Ink to Oxide, but you don’t want to go from Oxide to Ink because it can contaminate the ink pad. I have a set of those brushes for Inks and another set for Oxides. Now, back to watching you put together these lovely tags.
Hi Julie, These are great! Thanks for the nudge to get the stencils out. Your tags turned out fabulous. I’m from Iowa, USA too and we use sweet corn and corn on the cob interchangeably. I hope your daughter has a fun time, and not camped next to a prison. 😍❤️
Thanks love 😊 she's really excited about it Carol, she has only been away from home without me once before and she had her sister there, but this is the first time on her own, i'm more nervous than she is🤗💜
Ooh la la! Julie, these tags are gorgeous! We’ll make you into a mixed media artist, yet, & then you can say, “it all started with the stencils”!! Great job! Thanks for the giggles, too! You always brighten my day! Erica❤
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns Perfect!! I have the best 1st idea: fun, but not too messy! get out your Timmy mat. Turn it around so the white part is closer. Take several colors of both distress ink & distress oxide pads & rub them in place on the white part so you can see them! squish out a square of ink. This first time, choose colors you like together: blues & greens & a little yellow, pinks & orange & a little red, etc. You can be braver later!! Don’t have the squares overlap. Then give the area a spritz of water. Don’t drown them! Then take your paper or tag & dip pieces of it in different areas of color, tap don’t rub the colors.Stop, dry the paper with your ranger heat tool (I’m pretty sure I’ve seen you use one?) Embossing tools are a bit much for this. Then dip your paper in a different pattern & dry. Dip your paper again & spray your paper (well, mist!) Let the colors blend, you can always gently dab with a towel or paper towel to get up something you don’t like. Keep repeating this process till you run out of color, fill your paper up or whatever you want!! You can also slowly spray the bit drops of water, onto your paper, let them sit a bit, then dab up the water! You’ll get those water drop outlines that are so pretty! Tim doesn’t do this this next part because he wants to keep moving, but it’s fun to dab up the extra leftovers: I run my fingers through the “squares” , spray with water & just dab up anything that’s left. These can be added to multiple times & they’re just fun beginnings to backgrounds! Each time you dry your paper, you’re creating a layer, by doing this several times on a card you get a beautifully detailed background! If you have a mix of both ink & oxide you get more interesting designs, too. Just remember that inks are translucent, oxides are opaque, so they cover anything below! This is really easy & cleanup is just a wipe up of leftover ink & water. Nothing is permanent, so you don’t have to use special cleaners! Then the pages you’ve made can be backgrounds or diecut into shapes! You’ll have fun with this, Julie, I know you will! Tim has lots of videos, so do bazillions of other people! Play this weekend!! I wish I were there to play with you!! Have fun!! Erica❤️
Hello dear girl,I have a comment and a question. First ,you do realize how talented you are. Do not compare yourself to others you are so special. I am so entertained as well as being taught. You bring me great joy and lighten my heart. Weee! Question now, Why not have the butterfly come dpwn to the flowers instead of going away? None of the Crafters I have see turn them down.
Thank you so much, i really appreciate that love😊 I know exactly what you mean about the butterflies. We must all have some need to put them the same way up. the edith holden books have butterflies pointing down to the flowers and i have been known to fussy cut them and flip them around. Maybe we think we're tidying them up, oooo i need to try flipping my flutterbys now🤗💜
Saved you until I could sit down with a cuppa and watch you crafting! I’ve had a lovely time thank you. Agree stencilled backgrounds are lovely. Hope your daughter has a wonderful adventure in Eyam, Derbyshire. Beautiful part of England. 🇬🇧❤️😊
Love the tags. I will be trying these tomorrow. I must say if I'd got a letter saying one of my kids was going to be camping outside a prison, I would have had something to say too! 😂😂
I know, right. what makes me even more angry is although my daughter isn't going to that camp now, other teens from around the country do all the time😐🤗💜
I’ve got lots of stencils I’m going to dig them out and have a go at these, thanks for the ideas ❤ Thank goodness your daughter is not camping in a field next to a prison 😂
I ordered a brick stencil a while ago. Well, when it came in, it was huge. It was for painting your walls to look like brick. What was even worse, I'd accidentally ordered 2. So I can paint my whole house in bricks if I wanted.😂
I didn’t read the size on some stencils & when they arrived, they were giant 16x16” stencils! They were just awful looking! Who knew, I thought stencils were just for cards & tags! I can’t remember what they looked like, I stuck them in a folder somewhere or other because I was so embarrassed & frustrated by them! Now I read more closely… Erica❤
We had a cat that loved corn on the cob! So funny to watch her eat it. She also loved the juice from watermelon. Love the stenciled tags, you are so inspiring!!!
These cards just make me feel happy and light hearted. They are lovely. Maybe I could enlarge them to poster size to replace all the flowers dug up or eaten by squirrels, rabbits and Chip and Dale 😊. TFS
Hello Love!! ohhh goodness its always happy time when You upload... Oh girl, the heat here is just ending, we were to hit 35 today... so tired of the extreme heat... Now this is a project even I can get into... I LOVE craft treat stencils.. I have bigger ones I use on furniture and wooden cigar boxes etc... absolutely love their products... I certainly recommend them... Your tags are gorgeous!! Hope this finds you and the kids doing well... Much Love always xx :)) Big Hugs xx 😄💕💕
Oooo that's far too hot love, glad it's going to start to cool down for you. i'd be fine and dandy living at the noth pole i would😘 Yes i need to look them up, the one i have is great😁🤗💜
These are soooooo beautiful. Now I have to give these a go too...my house is never going to be clean again. lol thanks for sharing julie. Hugs,GinaB💕😍💖🥰
Hi Julie! 🩷 This formula makes beautiful tags and journal cards! 😃 You made me laugh a few times. I really hope other parents won’t go along with that camp site across from the prison. 😳
These are brilliant, Julie. 🎉🎉 A must for me and so simple and easy. I'd love to go to that village you spoke about, so much history. TFS all your ideas with us. ❤❤❤❤
Love the splatter stencils the coffee stain one is my favorite to use. I love this project needed something simple always good to see your thumbnail pop up . Hugs lady . Loved this.
This is wonderful inspiration! Thank you for sharing! And……yup you can get foldable bowls🤣🤣. At least here we can in the pet section as they are great for carrying along on hikes! I always look forward to your videos!😊❤️😊
Oh Julie you always make me smile and giggle watching you create. I love your sense of humour. I love how you start with a clean desk and an idea of what you are doing and then your desk is a disaster zone when you finish. Looks just like mine lol. The tags are gorgeous and technically meet the criteria for mixed media. I’m glad that your daughter is getting to go on an adventure without any prisoners lol.
Thank you so much Rose😊i just can't be tidy when i craft and i've given up trying and feel so much better knowing i'm not alone, I may slowly slide into mixed media yet😁🤗💜
I love Bundled Sage. I'll have to get some stencils out now, for a play. That'll be 3 projects on the go! 😊 Good job I only work part time 😂 Love your tags, Julie TFS❤
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns I'm off next week so plenty more hours to craft! I wouldn't know how to throw a sickie, Julie! If I am feeling under the weather it's always on the days I don't work. Lol🥳❤️🥰🤣
We call it sweet corn, and the other is field corn, mainly used for animal food. Growing up, though, my mother would pick the very new ears of field corn ad scrape it off the cobs for creamed corn and it was OK because she'd add cream, butter, and a little sugar. someone got stuck stirring it constantly! Our dog likes corn, especially the tip of the cob. she also likes to help shuck it; so, if it's on sale enough I buy her an ear. She really, really likes boiled green beans! Your pieces are lovely!
Absolutley Tags, I love watching the process, I love sweet corn as well my husband and i put 22 bags of freezer corn this year for the cold snowy days to come . Thank you so much
These are beautiful. Thank you for a good morning start to my day. Just love your video's. I'm like you, kids have to learn to take what life deals them, but the prison thing would have sent me through the roof also. Hope she has the time of her life. Sounds like an amazing trip.
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns 💗 My dad's family is from Lancashire, and he always used to call me 'chook'. I never used to understand it as a little girl, until I realised it was an affectionate term, like 'my little chick'. 🧡💚🤎
these are beautiful, I am so anxious to recieve the 20 plus stencils i ordered, as this process really replaces the expensive printer i am saving for. You really inspire and educate we rookies. Thank you for sharing your left brain magic
What a lovely use of both stencils and rub ons. Unfortunate about the bird but I would have left him there. The recipient of the tag would have said "Oh look, a little birdie hiding down there" . I use stencils as backgrounds often with my inks.
I love the subtlety of the stenciled backgrounds. Thanks for giving me new ideas ... Our cat, Sally, went crazy for corn. The only time she ever went into the garbage was to pull out a cob left over from dinner. I always had to cook an extra cob for her, and give her a small dish when we cooked up frozen corn. I was told that all animals have a favorite fruit or veggie; the trick is to discover what it is. I had a friend whose cat loved rhubarb, so I was relieved that my cat preferred something more accessible.
Miss Julie, 💕✝️🪻🪺🌿 I only stumbled across you last week, but I have made up for time lost since I'm a bit laid up. You, dear ma'am, are a hoot! One day, when you're out of ideas and simply want to do something completely different, a video compilation of your one-liners would bring us all to stitches! 😂 "That's just too much organization for me." 😲😳🤣😂🤣😂🥰❤
Julie, I really enjoyed this video. I have a little tip for you to try. Put a little hand sanitizer on a soft cloth and wipe down your stencils. It should remove the ink staining on your plastic stencils. I learned this from MayMay. Hope it helps! 😊
@@CameliaCraftsDesignsand you my Dear are the reason I love RU-vid! And paper! And glue! And junk journals... I could go on and on, but then this message would be a week in the making. I can almost hear you saying, "stop waffling woman and get to the point! So I will... You're simply amazing! 😃🤗
Great ideas with stencils and rub-ons. I suppose if the bird became "headless," you could have just turned it into a Halloween tag, inked the edges in black, added a little blood at the neck... yep, I'ma Halloween kinda girl, lol. Enjoy your day!!
These are such pretty botanical tags, and would look fab in all sorts of journals. I'm definitely going to give them a try! There's a great book about Eyam and the Plague, called "Year of Wonders" by Geraldine Brooks; well worth a read. Cheers from NE Florida.
Thank you so much Brenda☺️ i'll look up that book. My younger daughter is a history buff and is so jealous that her sister is staying in Eyam, so it might just cheer her up🤗💜
These tags are beautiful 🥰 I will have to make some, for the last few days I have been putting together some journals that I plan to sell (if they are good enough) My table is is a complete jumble of bits & bobs waiting to be put together, oh the possibilities. When I was about 7, we had a cat that loved sweet corn, I would have a bowl of just sweet corn & butter, (mmmmm, I’m craving a bowl now) & he would hound me til I gave him some 😂❤🤗
