It also takes forever. I can chop up my golden Pothos, and have it rooted in a pot within a month and a half. I cut up my pink princess philodendron, and it JUST started putting out new roots after 4 months.
Propagation methods would be so nice. I have so much aerial roots, and so scared to chop them (I have 2 medium sized ones). I’m unsure if perlite, water, soil, leca, moss (which I don’t have, can’t afford rn). I’m so scared to chop these plants, even just one 🥺🫶🥹
hello great video... can you help me.. i have my first plant and it has about 20 small leaves at the bottom near soil. they are about 1 inch each. why do i have so much growth down at the base? what do I do with that growth? it looks like a small bush of green and pink 1 inch leaves and then the big red stem coming out like normal. i got it yeaterday and shes got lots of varigation but i dont see anyone else with this little bush of leaves at the bottom??? help
Yes the propagation leaf is sometimes bigger than the new leaf it grows. The leafs will size up as new ones come out but the bottom ones that are smaller generally stay smaller. You can always chop the top section with bigger leaves. Air layer where you are cutting to root it and chop it and you will have a new plant with just the bigger leaves. Or you can grow on a moss pole and once it reaches the top chop and prop it.
