I hope you enjoyed the content! If there is something you want to watch me react to, please leave it in the comments below! Outro: Rustage - Outside the Airlock - • Outside the Airlock
ED 2 - Hydra is by far my favorite one, with it's very slow melodic tone throughout so much of it. On top of that the studio pulled an amazing cut to the ED to perfectly highlight a certain character in the series, Myth & Roid kills every OP/ED they get to do.
I gotta say Silent Solitude for me, it's so unique for a piece of music, like the way they make the sound distorted in a way that really shouldn't sound good, but somehow makes it work is just awesome to me.
Honestly the slideshow part is so smart i usually click off to watch the next episode whenever i see the ending starts for other animes, but damn overlord makes me just stay and appreciate the art and music
Would love to see your reaction to Overlord! Also after learning more about the characters and watching the show you'll notice that the endings all have really deep meanings connecting really well with the feelings of the characters and the story each season.
Yeah the slideshow style is kind of the standard because a lot of people outright skip them but the music is great and typically the outros are more subdue compared to the op for obvious reasons. The show in my opinion is great but like all anime has problems glossing over alot of context so if you do want to do a reaction to the show I’ll watch it the give context to what was left out as a comment. I really enjoy this series and want to get more people into it
@@solastro5595 Those arent unique art those are quite literally the Light Novel Art, its all the artwork done by the novel artist for the series. All of the character models are based off his artwork and the endings are literally them just showing his artwork off because its so good.
@@Mattables You should be fine with your reaction format so far. It's just that some reactors went ham by muting and basically blackscreening the episodes for Overlord, which instantly turns me away as I can hardly follow then ;) I do recommend recording reaction and episodes separately in case you do have to mute something, like certain songs or soundtracks if you don't already do so.
Outros tend to be skipped which is why they tend to be less be animated. I will point out though, all the drawings in the outros are done by the original illustrator of the Overlord light novels, so-bin. Which is pretty cool I think. The artwork is quite beautiful even if we aren't getting a ton of animation in the endings
It's really fun that someone to love Ed 2 Hydra more. Since it quite niche cause it's maybe not everyone love arc in this season. Cause it really get more other POV, our MC not quite much get screen time, and some people can't handle this kinda of stuff. But for me this arc makes me thing there's no anime like Overlord until The Eminence of shadows came out. (Remember Anime, there's LN or webnovel that quite the same as Overlord but for anime wise, Only overlord do this kind of stuff)
I like the third the most, but only due to episode 12 of season 3. They merge it into the last part of the episode and it's so f-ing good how it works, but only due to the build-up from watching the anime, to that moment, and the outro playing and merging over to the actual outro visuals at a specific point. At the time, when us who were anime onlys didn't know what was going to happen. It gave us expectations that made the wait for episode 13 hype Otherwise, yeah, ending 2 is probably the best
So interesting fact but both the bands (OxT, Myth and Roid) who do all OP's and Ed's both share the same guitarist with each other who is known professionally as Tom H@ck. He also composes songs, plays bass and more. Myth and Roid have done plenty of other other shows OPs and Eds. Tit for Tat - The Cautious Hero Overpowered but Overly Cautious OP. Forever Lost - Insert song for Made in Abyss film. Endless Embrace - Made in Abyss S2 Ed. Show has a godly soundtrack including OP's and Ed's. Kevin Perkin the shows composer does some amazing stuff in that show. Shadowgraph - Boogiepop and others. Re-Zero OPs 1 and 2 (Sort of 4) - You may be wondering why I say sort of well in 2017 Myth and Roids main singer (Mayu Maeshima) left for a single career and she does OP4 for Re:Zero as herself. So any show before 2017 is Mayu Maeshima before new girl KIHOW took over. Jingo Jungle - Sage of Tanya the evil OP- I think you'll love this one and the Ed is just as good.
Those art works at the end, like the slide show are there on purpose. For the light novel, there is a artist named "Sobin" who made the art work for the books. The outtro is doing a homage to Sobin. The Sobin art does not appear anywhere else in the Anime.
Great reaction, I wish Crunchyroll would add translated lyrics to their ED videos, like on a first ED. Especially considering the lack of visuals on them, concentrating on music and lyrics is a way to go in my opinion. Overlord reminds me tragedies of old from greece and such. Everyone is fcked up to some extent, even gods and everyone have their view on things like morals and purpose in life, so they act accordingly, clashing their opinions violently. I highly recommend you watch it.
I disagree. I would claim the best word to describe him is Defense. Everything he does, every action he takes is two fold. First, to find if any other players from his world exists in this one. And second, to defend his people, his NPCs, his guild, that he loves so much. He conquers, and does evil, so that no one can rise up to harm them. He becomes all powerful, so no others can take from him. He sets evil examples, so people will not fight against him. All he does, he does in service of building a free kingdom of smiles and happiness. He says as much, in the 4th season, while talking with the Prince. It's a very wonderful speech, and shows the inner thoughts of his overarching goal.
@@SassyGorilla No no. His Subject and Followers do, not himself. If you are basing 1 person's beliefs and actions, based on ANOTHER person's beliefs and actions. You are kinda doing it wrong.
@@Jirodyne theyre doing it on his orders. he also experiments on adventurers that he tricked into nazarick. and what about that religious guy that he mind fucked. seems pretty evil to me.
4:26 She's literally the most insane character in the entire show, she sells out her own entire kingdom to be able to live forever with the one she loves, and she actively puts people in harms way to achieve her own goal of becoming a demon, she's so psycho that Ainz himself is scared of her.
The ending 4 song is probably by far my favorite. Not to say the others are bad cause they are amazing too. Just something about that ending 4 no mans dawn that really gets to me.
I believe, if I'm not mistaken that the slideshow outros are actually images taken directly from the light novel, so it's a sort of way of saying, "look, this is where all of your favorite characters from overlord came from. Isn't it nice?"
You need to see the Pléyades version of the 1 outro and the final song of Overlord IV. Pleyades karaoke of the outro is super funny and the final song is haunting.
That first op is literally about albedo herself. It's basically her singing to Ainz and wondering why he won't accept her love and passionoh the outro pictures are from the light novel the series is made from. Basically its the official way the characters look, their designs are simplified for animation in the show.
The outros have a bit of character description based on the poses too. In the third ED. Climb watches to the side, same as Brain. Showing how they miss the point or are not focusing on the right things, or maybe their story is a bit outside the main plot. Their faces show determination and possible anger. As opposed to Gazeff. Gazeff is looking directly at you like Nazarick denezines, facing forward. Face half in shadow probably an omen of what is to come. Also anger and determination on his face ready to fight. Similarly you have a certain emperor also looking to the side. Leading with confidence in his face. Also, missing the main goal and objective. A shadow on his back, foreshadowing how his actions affect him. Either a burden or constant spying from someone else. In the second ED You also have the princes in the light all innocent looking but changes her face when a shadow is cast over her. Implying she might not be as you see her.
