We have something that looks like Lady Fish in Australia. We call them Giant Herring and they grow to 7 kg (13 pounds) and 1.3 metres (51 inches) long. They fight brilliantly, excellent to catch.

Yuri Picanço Filho I’m not sure. It could be, different names for the same fish in different counties happens a lot. We call Jack Trevall (don’t know if that’s spelt right) Trevally. Long story short, it could be. :)

It’s a sand perch guy. In central Florida we call them Goats. Not a mojarra. In the mojarra family, not a mojarra. If you’re not sure of something you can easily use google to reference pictures and look at key parts of the fish to compare such as dorsal shape, peck fin color, mouth shape, body shape, etc.

It’s proper fishing mechanics. When you’re using conventional and bait cast reels they are almost always lower gear ratios than spinning reels. Lower gear ratio reels are meant for being able to crank fish in with little to no rod pumps. So being right handed, you use your strong hand on the reel handle on a bait caster or conventional reel. And on a spinning reel you are fighting the fish with your rod, pumping the rod and reeling in the slack, so you would want your strong hand on the rod.
