👉 Learn how to simplify expressions using the power rule and the negative exponent rule of exponents. When several terms of an expression is raised to an exponent outside the parenthesis, the exponent is distributed over the individual terms in the expression and the exponent outside the parenthesis is multiplied to each of the exponents of the individual terms of the expression.
The negative power rule of exponents states that a power with negative exponents is equivalent to the reciprocal of the power with the positive exponent.

If I have some variables in brackets and they are raised to a negative power in the numerator , can I bring them to the denominator to make them positive

Pretty sure you can, since its brackets you'd have to take all the variables down to the denominator then, but I've seen individual variables to negative exp. get taken down to the denominator.

i put the -1 on the denominator and i took the -1 - out and got - 1/a^7 b^1 am still right right

Its better to write a big digits sir, otherwise all the digits look overlaping each other.Moreover I think there is less light arrangements in the room which leads the vewer to stess on the eyes specially like me who watches your class at the age of 75+.
