Your videos are a godsend. I am math illiterate, and I took an online math class that I have already failed once because I have had the teacher before and like him, only to find that he isn't teaching the class. He just links you to youtube videos of another professor teaching the subjects and I was lost until I found your videos. Rational expressions are greek to me, yet you make it somewhat more simple to understand. Thank you!

THANK YOU SO MUCH SIR!!! I don't like our Math teacher because he only explains the basics and when our exam day comes, i look at the test paper and i don't know almost half of the items. I thought I understood everything but I was wrong. I was mental blocked while taking our exam. The next day my teacher told me that I failed and I cried because my parents will be disappointed in me(also my classmates). I decided to study in advance and that's when I saw your channel! Ok so if theres 3 numbers in the numerator would you use gcf or the rainbow method? 😭 and also we just started learning about "Discontinuities- holes, Vert Asym, & Hori Asym" can you please do a video on that? Its so confusing! We need more teachers like you in Dallas!!

Could you give some examples of solving equations with rational expressions with proportions? I am having trouble understanding when the problem is asking to state the restrictions of the variable and finding the LCD. Example: x-3/x+7=8/9. My study guide tells me to solve with x=7=0. I do not understand why they chose 7 and then I am unsure how to solve the equation. I've looked over your radical expression videos and nothing is similar to this problem. I hope I explained myself to where you can give some examples. Your videos are helping me pass my class. So thankful I discovered your channel!!
Amber Humphrey The answer to this problem is: (this is confusing to me) x − 3x + 7)((9)(x + 7)) = (89)((9)(x + 7)) Multiply both sides by LCM.(x − 3)(9) = (8)(x + 7) Simplify.9x − 27 = 8x + 569x − 27 − 8x = 8x + 56 − 8x Add −8x to both sides.x − 27 = 56 Combine like terms.x − 27 + 27 = 56 + 27 Add 27 to both sides.x = 83 Combine like terms. x = 83

I didn't realize you could use the foil method. My study guide complicates the process and makes the equations more difficult to learn. This video was very helpful!

This is a very useful video. You make math simple af haha but I have a question, how do you simplify this? mx-2my+nx-2ny / mx-2my-nx-2ny my teacher gave it to us as an assignment but I can't answer it. I think it doesn't follow the same steps as this video. Please help 😭
