I had the same experience. I was studying construction at university and working on the holidays. I met a great woman who was doing a double degree in mathematics. I went back to my home town to work for 3 months and when i get back she had gotten back with her ex BF who was finishing his masters after completing his double degree in maths science. The final straw was when she stood up and left me at a restaurant, in front of everybody, on holiday in a foreign country, because she couldn't eat her meal without bread. I calmly finished my meal, and her meal (without bread), and decided I was so done. It felt like she had the emotional maturity of a 12 year old. She had foot stomping, red in the face, temper tantrums. I happen to have very high emotional intelligence, so I was constantly supporting her with zero reciprocity. A decade later and she realizes she f*cked up, didn't find someone better, didn't have children, reached menopause, and has to work a job she hates to support herself for the rest of her life. One girl got really emotionally invested, and I got quite the screed out of her about being "an uncompassionate neanderthal" because I didn't feel that her social causes were worthy or producing worthwhile results. Some of these were pretty funny, which led me to my current attitude about the "activist mentality" and how these people define themselves not by their abilities or pastimes but by the social causes they champion. Outside of "social justice", they tend to be pretty empty people - it's their whole identity. After a certain point I had conditioned myself to be stoic when this kind of thing happened, because it happened often enough. I'd just sort of "hmmm" and answer "not my bag, but whatever". It's an automatic red card (pun intended), and I just make my exit plan once it happens. Oddly enough, being unflinching tended to intrigue some girls - being tough to rattle projects some masculinity. There's no point in having a debate. You're not going to change any of these girls minds. They're wrapped up in these causes too deeply and too emotionally, and chicks HATE admitting that they're factually wrong about ANYTHING, even something trivial, especially on a date. If you extract some amusement out of the exchange, then so be it - you do you. I value the tranquility of my own head more, and see no value in the debate.

@@joelfenner thanks for answering. I'm a little more argumentative (I like having actual intelligent discussions), so this cry of the activists and socialists just makes me sad. There was even a time when I was talking about a comedian and what he says about freedom to associate or not with his jokes and humor, and the first thing my classmates (yes, my damn classmates) called me is a "natzee"... How is a libertarian, in favor of LESS state, part of an ideology of absolute state control?? The dissonance is strong with these ones. I wish it was possible to debate, but you're spot-on, it's simply unfeasible. Specially with the activist types you've described, when their whole life has so little meaning they need to find a "higher social cause" and treat it like it's their religion. A comment in another video said that they're basically walking altercations. Being stoic has helped us both deal with this insanity, but the part of intriguing the girls is a little... Risky. You know, because of the BIG red flag(s).

@@harsh3948 Both of those things barely make a dent. The exact same thing has been happening across The Pond without schemes like that and people have been talking about it since the 90s. Basically, the way the average girl thinks suits the modern school environment better than the way the average boy thinks. Girls are no longer forced into doing separate subjects to boys so they're competing directly and the amount of practical (e.g. woodwork) tuition, which probably suits boys better, has been steadily diminishing due to the cost of providing it.

But when war came to their doorstep men were forced to stay in the country on standby while women were allowed to leave and come back as they please. So yea, even regular civilian men still have more claim than women because it will be expected of them to defend their country, unlike the women, even though they both vote equally. To get an idea of how ridiculous it is, there's civilian men doing more fighting and more dying than women actually in the military.

There are so many things that a stay at home wife can spend her immense amount of free time on to save money, like cooking meals, shopping for deals, learning to grow food in a garden, selling old stuff you don't need anymore on Facebook marketplace instead of throwing it away. A decent lifestyle starts from 100-150k (what I mean by decent lifestyle is when you can support a family of four with a car and still have enough to buy additional property and afford college degrees for your children). And in that case even with 150k a year you might find yourself in the position where you can't make your ends meet because both houses and tuition in top colleges are stupid expensive nowadays.

Living on one paycheck is scarcely an option if you want to have a decent quality of life instead of just the bare minimum. And when children are in the picture? Motherfucker you are delusional if you think you can support a family on one paycheck.

There is not a single job in this world that involves physicality in which women are better than men. "Women work with people, men work with things" its a fair thing to say but ussualy men can do both, women cant.

In general, women do not want equal partners. They say they do, because it sounds nice and makes them look and feel good. But they want someone better than them. They push for 'equality' and get all sorts of laws and social adjustments that favour them eg. a feminized education system, preferential hiring etc. Then, when they get equality, they blame men for not being good enough. They complain about the hardship they must suffer because men are failing, and blame men for the situation. They say they want emotionally available men but are disgusted by men that show their feelings, and refuse to give emotional support themselves ("I'm not your therapist or mother').
