So sorry you’ve been feeling poorly Tina……..be gentle with yourself & snuggle up in that lovely shawl. I really enjoyed going on that walk with you…thank you for taking us with you.
Lovely chilly walk! Beautiful frost on the plants! Butter on hot toast. Love sardines…on toast ! I’m in US, sardines come in can as whole (headless) fish… might be easiest to smash ‘em all up, spread on toast. The smaller fish (lower on the food chain) have less toxic “stuff”. The larger the fish, more icky stuff. Love the mitts! In my queue for years… so many nice patterns to choose from!

Love all UR knits,,, Elaine 🏘🏡 My craft room a mess and we aren't renovating,,,,!!
My toast must be hot when I butter it for sure. Sardines = 🤢. 🤣I'm so glad you kept that shawl. I know how cozy it feels when we're under the weather. I do hope you feel better soon.
Hi Tina. Ooooo your shawl is gorgeous & fox mitts look so cosy. I’m with you on cooling toast 👍but can’t eat sardines, wish I could but they make me gag. Weird how all our taste buds differ. I love crunchy peanut butter & banana on toast, yummy. 😋. But not brain food 🥴😂. Thanks for sharing ❤️
Hi Tina Lovely walk in your wellies!!! Don't worry about the craft room, it will get back to normal soon. Love those mitts. I like my toast cold with butter do not like it soggy. Sorry to hear that you have been feeling poorly but hope you are on the mend now. Have a great week. Take care Amanda from Lincolnshire xxxx 🎄🎄⛄⛄
Hot toast for butter if I'm adding marmite, but cold the rest of the time. I to have the lurgy this weekend, feeling quite rubbish, my crochet blanket is being well used. Cottage Pie and rice pudding for tea as I feel hungry today.
I definitely agree that toast needs to be cold before buttering! I also stand it like you do as I like it crispy not soggy! I can't stand fish though so it's a no for the sardines from me. I hope you're feeling much better now. See you next time x
Your shawl looks fabulous and really suits you love the colours. I would like a shawl like yours but I don't knit only crochet. I crochet a pineapple poncho there is a video on it on Just vintage crochet youtube channel. Looking forward to your next video. I like cold toast with tuna and a pint of hot tea lol.
Lovely walk and projects all looking marvellous. I don’t tend to butter the toast when it comes to sardines / pilchards on toast - I do stick them back under the grill though. Hot buttered toast is one of life’s great pleasures, as far as I am concerned. Now cold bread, thickly buttered is definitely my preference when it comes to a banana sandwich (on granary bread, mind!). It must have been the week for leaky roofs! We woke up to the steady drip, drip, drip, of rain water (coming through the flat roof above the dormer window in our bedroom) exiting the ceiling light and hitting the (now soggy) carpet!! Hopefully, it’ll all be fixed tomorrow. I hope all your house woes have been resolved. Best wishes, J
Answer; toast should be hot and butter melted. Never had pilchers, I live in the states, but I've had sardines and there ok. I prefer 🥑 avocado and eggs on toast!! 😋
Lovely that you are feeling better. Your walk was beautifully. I like my toast cooler and arrange like you 😅 i prefer tuna but used to love sardines, maybe should try again. Love your cowl and mitts. Then your shawl is beautiful, those colours really suit you. 😊
Butter on hot toast 👍. Sardines 🤢. The walk was beautiful. Thank you. I’m sorry you’re going through house woes. It’s a lot of mess, worry, work and money. Add Christmas and flu 😱😱😱😱. I’d offer you a hug but you might be contagious 🤣. Feel better soon. I hope you get your home back in good order soon. I know it must be driving you crazy. Your shawl/blanket is perfect for when you need to coorie into comfort. 🤗🤗🤗🇨🇦
Thank you so much for showing those beautiful fox gloves! Quick question, I am thinking you have to attach a new length of yarn to start knitting the thumb from the dpns, is that correct? I absolutely love these gloves and am going to order some Drops Alpaca soon! I may have to practice my color work first, but I have to have a pair of those! You knit so beautifully! Thanks so much for sharing!
If your buying yarn for it I wouldn't recommend Alpaca yarn . I used leftovers. You will get better definition in a wool. But if you want them fluffy go for the alpaca. Yes rejoin yarn for thumbs 😁
Hi Tina! Have been thoroughly enjoying your channel. I've been eyeing the Fox mitts for a while and will definitely knit those now. They are perfect! I, too, have small hands Also, thanks to your recommendation, I tried the Nord a while back and it's become my go-to for all socks. The yarn feels so soft, warm/cozy on the feet and it wears beautifully! Next is a sweater (maybe a ranunculus) using that yarn. Did you do yours held double with smaller needle than recommended? Would love to hear about it. Merry Christmas!
I knit my ranunculus in DK weight 6mm needles . The one I'm knitting now is only the yoke of the ranunculus the pattern is Flax light by Tincan knits . Happy knitting
Hello from Canada. A little more snow here lol. Ur mitts look great and so do your Dk weight socks. How many balls of nord did you use on your cowl. I want to make one with leftovers.
Greetings from Vancouver BC Adore your channel, at 73 you taught me to knit socks and like you said its addictive . Always butter when hot so the lovely butter soaks in yummy ! Pass on the sardines thank you . May I ask, is it because you travel the reason you no longer have cats ? 🥰
No unfortunately they have got to cat heaven. They all lived to a good age and had a great life here in the countryside . I still miss them everyday and can't bring myself to home any more just yet . I was bless to have them in my life
Hi from Vancouver Island B.C. I absolutely love all your videos. I do a crosstitch when I get motivated. I am 69 so I was wondering I have knitted in my past the odd scarf but I have wanted to make socks. My question is can you make sock if you haven't done much knitting or is it to complicated. Thanks Patti
Hi Tina, my toast has to be cold before it’s buttered. No to sardines or any type of fish for breakfast. All of your knitted garments look nice. Love your red striped shawl. Btw I can not stand limpy toast after it’s been buttered hot. That’s disgusting imo. Who does that? It’s just nasty.
We are a divided house, husband likes cold toast thick butter, I like the opposite, we have managed for a number of years now, my teeth are not good to eat cold toast!!!
