To me. These 1994 pulse live versions are some of the best live music you will ever hear. Combined with the lights and stage set up with the back up vocalists. Who could not love this. ??? 😊

Next is One of These Days by PULSE concert. Fun fact David said they use lights to help with the show is because they said that watching them play is boring they don't jump or move around they stand and play. They discovered how boring they are.

I know they say things publicly but....eat a bunch of psychedelics and see them live and you'll soon find out that it greatly effects the atmosphere/mood, energy of the show and is intricately choreographed in every aspect. I practically swear they use psychologists and/or sociologists in the planning of the whole magnificent production!

We all know that is not really serious statement. But the truth is that they implement quadrophenia and psychodelic movies back in 60s. They shows evolving in 70s to that big round cinema display.

So happy you're diving into Pink Floyd's legacy, thank you. In the credits you'll notice the name of the wizard behind the look of what you saw during a Pink Floyd/David Gilmour show, Marc Brickman Concert Production and Lighting Designer. He's been their lighting director for ever. I've seen them live 3 times, twice in '88 and once in '92, and every show was visually mind blowing. During the 'Momentary Lapse of Reason' tour, they had a mock-up of a WW2 bomber fly in over the audience on a wire and crash onstage with the sound of a plane going down and all the pyrotechnics, that was in 1988, it really was something to see.

Such a high energy song... The 'Pulse' version is superior to the studio "Wall" version. Another huge favorite of mine... glad you enjoyed it.

I love the Pulse concert, but disagree regarding Run Like Hell. The Pulse version sounds like a happy sing-along, and that’s not what the song is. The album version in context with what is happening at that point of the story is on a spectrum ranging between menacing and outright terrifying. It’s a great performance and a visual spectacle, but I think it’s the prominence of the organ that makes it sound like a fun, cheery song. “Hey, Pink’s fascist shock troops are rounding up and murdering suspected undesirables. Let’s clap our hands and sing along!” 😂

I too enjoy how happy they all look while playing and it's like that through this whole concert. I can only imagine they feel the audience's love for them and the music and that comes through in the music and it's a big circle. I also love how they amped everyone up before setting them loose from this concert. I really look forward to your Pink Floyd reactions, they're an amazing journey into strange and beautiful places. 🤘🏽

I seen the Momentary Lapse of Reason tour and Another Lapse tour. First one in 87 in Tampa, and the second leg of the tour which was called Another Lapse tour in 88 in Orlando. The Pulse DVD was made from The Division Bell Tour which I seen the world opening of that tour in Miami in 94 and again in Tampa in 94. Now you know the rest of the story.

I also seen Pink Floyd in Tampa in 77. It was called "In The Flesh" tour. Alot of people think that tour was called the Animals tour. It wasn't. They played the whole of Wish You Were Here and the whole of Animals. Which both albums rank above Dark Side for me. I also seen Roger in 2006 in Seattle on his Dark Side tour which he called it In The Flesh tour on his DVD of it. I also seen Roger do The Wall in 2010 in Minneapolis and in Tacoma, and Roger on The Wall tour again in 2012 in Seattle

I have a very extensive library of both books, DVD's and CD's numerous magazines and probably 14 or 15 box sets. 31 t shirts. One for every day of the month. A dark side lunch box, socks, jackets, lounger pants, swimming trunks, etc. want to know anything about Floyd I can tell you a lot. Their music is my soulmate.

I always enjoy when young people 'discover' PF. This show is 30 years old and is still a stunner. The band was always on the cutting edge for both musical composition and stage performance. Here, you are seeing musicians at the apex of their skills. That stage show alone cost 25 million in 1994. Consider listening to the entire 'Dark Side of the Moon' album--you will better understand why it remained on the Billboard listing for years and years. This concert also included a live performance of DSOTM--which is why it is so long.

Great reaction to a fantastic live performance! For what it's worth, although Pink Floyd is no longer, David Gilmour is working on a new solo album (the bassist here, Guy Pratt, is also involved). Hopefully, if and when it is released, David will tour. He last toured as a solo artist in 2016, and I was fortunate to attend the show in Chicago. He played his solo songs along with the Pink Floyd classics and still sounded great at 70 years old! If you ever want to react to David performing more recently, I suggest his performance of 'Comfortably Numb, live in Pompeii, 2016."

Hey Sevsimo, love your personality. Checking the lyrics mid shooting and not editing it out is also marvelous. You don't have much of a Wall obscuring who you are. As far as this song goes, the movie version is quite a dark scene, while this version is definitely fun. 👍👍👍👍👍/5

Knew you'd enjoy this when you got to it. One comment another reactor made about Pink Floyd stuck with me. 'All of the instruments are given their space.' You don't have the guitar drowning out the keyboard for example. When an instrument is making a sound, you hear it. And when their sounds combine it creates these timeless works of art. You've been going far too long between Pink Floyd reactions. You should listen to "On the Turning Away" from Pink Floyd's 1988 A Momentary Lapse of Reason Tour, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xEMy34qhQe4.htmlsi=lRGT9PDNv8W8Psjt

Love your reactions to PF. There's been a split with Gilmour and Waters. Waters tries to take credit for PF but without Gilmour and Rick Wright, there was no PF. Pink Floyd officially ended when Rick Wright passed away. The genius in the music were those two, Waters wrote some words. That clip you saw was long after Rick had passed. No replacing the chemistry between Gilmour and Wright and they were very close.

It's too bad that so few of the current young people discovering Pink Floyd through the songs from The Wall album haven't seen the 1982 film with Bob Geldorf as "Pink." The movie puts the songs in context, so that you see Pink having his psychotic breakdown from his wife cheating on him (Dirty Woman), his manager shooting him up to "make it through the show" from being catatonic (Comfortably Numb), and later Pink's Neo-Nazi movement where his skinhead followers go after a young black man for dating a white woman (Run) Not a happy film at all.

Pink Floyd concentrates on playing the music perfectly, not the stage antics. Dancing background singing girls (who also have great talent), and the lighting and background visual effects are there to make their live concerts less boring to some. To me, they could be playing in a vacant airplane hangar with no special effects and metal folding seating risers for the audience, and I'd still find their musical performance to be exciting. Great musical artistry is far from boring.

The concert was in 94'. The song is from 1978. It still gives me goosebumps.

If you are curious about some of these songs (Comfortably Numb, Run Like Hell), watch the movie, Pink Floyd The Wall. I think I watched that about 100 times in high school in the '80s. At least.

still waiting for some RUSH. not exactly chops as your saying but chops in the sense of musical chops. start out with TOM SAWYER. watch the official video that shows them in LE STUDIO in Canada. i think you’ll dig it if you haven’t heard it already.

Hi, I don't know if someone already explained to you why David said what he said in that reel you mention. He says there'll be no more Pink Floyd; he already began to make albums and concert tours by himself in early 2000s (but always playing a lot of Pink Floyd's song), but then in 2008 Richard Wright died of cancer and that was the definitive end of the band for him. Nonetheless, he, Roger Waters and Nick Mason, everyone for himself, kept on doing concert tours and playing live Pink Floyd's song. I'm going to see Nick Mason's A Saucerful of Secrets this July and I'm hoping that, coming the new David's album, he will go on tour because I really need to see him live!
