Raise national dignity by enhancing the status of Korean Culture. 2- BTS received “Diplomatic Passports”. 3- This is third time attending UN, and second time asked to address the UN General Assembly. 4- BTS asked to perform the UN General Assembly. The night before, they created “Permission To Dance” video at the UN Building, NYC. 5- Sept 25th, BTS to perform at the Global Citizen Live 2021, NYC’s Central Park.
I cried so much as I was watching this live as I was just so proud of the guys that words can't begin to explain just how proud I was. I love this so much and the lads truely taught me to love myself and just be happy for who I am and not for who people want me to be. Also just seeing this performance is making me feel so proud that my heart is swelling with pride and it's about to burst.
BTS choreographer Son Sung Deuk was already in NYC at least 1 1/2 weeks prior to the recording of this video. He was on the red carpet of the MTV VMAs on September 12; he was nominated for the "Butter" choreo. He was probably in town to cast & train dancers for this.

K-pop culture is deeply rooted in Korean culture, and I believe that it is a light in the hearts of all citizens who have been assimilated into Korean society and at the same time a light that guides the hopes of all young people around the world, too. Finally, Only when BTS merges those two branches, art and culture are blooming in the hearts of young people around the world. So, I am so much proud that I am a Korean citizen.
Well they give a speech at the UNGA as special presidential envoys for future generations and culture..and the performance was recorder early morning before they give the speech and it was shown to the diplomats and leaders present at the assembly..try checking out their speech... I'm so proud of them and how far they've become

Everybody is wrongly titling their videos BTS performs permission to dance at the united nations General Assembly. The correct term should be BTS performs permission to dance at the United nations SDG moment look up what the SDG moment is on Google it's a global initiative I'm 17 items at the United nations has undertaken to accomplish in one decade!
And why are all you people only reacting to the performance instead of reacting also to their speech which they gave just before they announced the debut of their prerecorded performance. BTS was at the United nations in there roles as official presidential envoys of the Republic of Korea they flew to New York using their brand new red diplomatic passports they are in essence diplomats do the world from Korea. Besides BTS has been invited to the United nations three times RM gave a speech at the United nations in 2018 about their love myself campaign with UNICEF built on protecting children and teenagers from violence around the world. Facebook in 2020 at the United nations 75th General Assembly via satellite video from Korea because the COVID-19 pandemic was in full force. They spoke on the effects of the pandemic on children and teenagers and young adults. And now this year at technically the 76th UN General Assembly but the event they actually spoke at was the STG moment just look it up
