Have this in flat black. Nice helmet. The only con for me i didn't forsee is that my handlebars are high, so with my arms out instead of down....occasionally the longer chin will hit my arm when checking over my shoulder

Just got the wife one of these. Came UPS today and she wore it around the house for a bit. Huge upgrade from the HJC helmet she had before. She loves it! Glad we went with the Street instead of the Outlaw.

Love my Street Bandit! Looks bad ass and is quite comfortable. The face shied lock is a pain, and when you change the face shields, just be aware of the plastic ratchet inserts in the face shield that you will have to swap out into your new face shield. Don't lose them or your face shield will Just flop around! Maybe you could make a vid showing the replacement process?

+Jim Hoover The face shield lock can be removed with an allen key. I've removed mine and had no issues with the visor becoming loose or flopping around at highway speeds.

I may do that, but, one of the metal pins for the faceshield ratchet system fell out of my helmet. Now, at highway speeds, the faceshield closes and want stay open or cracked at over 50 mph. Simpson has no replacement pins either.

just got mine from you guys, love it. 2 questions, how come my face shield is so much harder to open? and is the strap supposed to have a snap on it or do the D rings keep it tight enough. Thanks!

I'm glad you like the new lid! The helmet has a raised circular piece on the left side of the face shield that essentially acts as a locking mechanism when the shield is in the closed position. It's a little different than a standard full face, but designed to work that way. Lifting the tab should allow you to push the shield up. As for the strap and D-rings, there is no snap or button to keep it in place once you tighten it, but there is a loop you can push the strap through that helps. -TeamZilla AJ

RevZilla i heard the shield didn't have anti fog coating. Is that something you can get by just replacing a shield or coating something on it? I really like the style but so far don't like the fogging or the fact that i can get rain leaks from the shield.

How is this helmet for sound? Loud on the street? I have a Bell Bullitt and it's loud AF.

Noise is average but should be a bit quieter than the Bullitt for most people. -DrewZilla

A) how quiet is it compared to an AGV K3 B) have you guys ever heard of the brand Bandit? I believe they are from Germany. Would you be able to tell me if they are safe? I can't find much on them about safety. Personally, I think they look cooler. It was also what Lisbeth Salander used in the new Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

Both the K3 and this Street Bandit are pretty average for noise, though due to there being fewer vents on this Simpson, it's slightly quieter than the K3. As for the brand Bandit, we aren't very familiar with them at all, as they aren't distributed here in the United States. -DrewZilla

I love the look of those helmets, a 'bad-assery' of different level! but it seems to me that unless you ride in constantly warm climate there is noooo chance to be able to see anything out of them(fogging up) due to extreme simplicity of their design... :(

RevZilla Thank you! ...speaking of witch: can you think of any good helmet with this 'predator' of 'fighter jet' looks but that have all of the 'standard' motorcycle helmet properties?(good venting, pinlock ready etc...)

pankinyek With Pinlock, the most aggressive-looking are the Shoei Hornet X2 and Nexx XD1. Both can be used without the peak visor for a streamlined look. Have any of you ridden in this helmet? just wondering how well those vents work, the outlaw bandit looks better but if the vents work really well it may be a contender.

W0rp3D The Simpson helmets are known for being safe and stylish. Ventilation is good but not the main feature though. The Street Bandit has slightly better venting than the Outlaw Bandit, but they're not dramatically different. -DrewZilla

RevZilla Since im in Australia just wondering about sizing, i have a shark vision r and an arai rebel (defiant in the US) both are medium, would you say these helmets would be the same size?

W0rp3D Yes, you would be a medium. However, please keep in mind, helmets we sell are DOT approved for the US market and will not include an AUS standards sticker. -DrewZilla
