I've been thinking similar they could for a few seasons experiment with allowing the aging of characters maybe 1 or 2 years a season to prevent it being too sudden
yes but it was the day of her birthday… that’s why he said “and 365 days”… it’s really simple to know that…? it would be more impressive if he knew all the days, not just years and days
Kind of. Lisa sounds more mature and Bart sounds a bit deeper, but there's only so much that they can do for Bart considering that he's voiced by a woman.
@@yorukage5926 not to mention that event though he is a crappy father at times, Lisa has always been his little girl (and probably his favorite child).
Martin build it as he was feeling lonely and wanted a friend. In one of the flash forward " dream episodes" of the Simpsons the robot is so annoyed with Martin that to escape him he explodes his head. However it is good to know that Bender " legacy" I think...yes legacy as I am sure that this episode is made after Futurama lives on furthermore it is fun to see an homage to Futurama
@@StarlitLilies Aw man, I started reading that and got super involved - and then I find out it only has 7 pages and hasn't been updated in a whole year. Thank you for the link though! I hope the artist gets back into it.
Homer may seem like a complete idiot, but the fact that he actually knows when it's Lisa's bday is just sweet. He truly cares about her as shown in previous episodes as well.
what bullshit. why is it sweet that someone remembers the kids birthday which should be mandatory? it's an issue with most american shows that the dad is always the idiot, always saying trash , behaving like trash and is still liked. american dad, the dinos etc etc. it's always the same pattern.
Ah yes, standard for characters to have gay relationships and not straight relationships. Enough already. Yes, we know gays exist, but they don’t need to be in everything
I'm in uni to become a zoologist & plan on teaching animal related subjects university as well Pays pretty well & there's actually always jobs open Uni helps people a lot, pretty much anywhere it's beneficial just America's system is backwards
Helped me into a debt for a few years lol. America college is a joke anyway. Yet another bidness. Still gonna work till I die with no retirement just like everyone else. This country is ALL about a fuckin hustle. Should have took that money and put it in Bitcoin.
It can if they actually fix and overcome what made them toxic. Its rare but it does happen. Like any turning of ones life around it just needs to be done. When they try to stay together they are missing the point that they need to work on self improvement rather than anything to do with each other.
Sad in my opinion when people have to leave a relationship but oh well if its for the good of their health and relations. This is a reason why I will never consider marriage in the first place...maybe because I always hear this all the time about divorce and wonder why people even get married in the first place....
Lisa is definitely a Bi-con. This girl has been shown with more than one girlfriend in the show and we love that. *Dear commenters, don’t read the comment thread for your mental health. There’s a lot of homophobia and just insulting things in general. Have a good day!*
simpsons fans are to busy watching the new seasons that are just episodes ruining the very humor of the simpsons to notice that lisa ends up married to millhouse
@@chadish2297 there isnt one specific future for the simpsons characters, it relies on sitcom logic where anything can happen lol. every scene or different reality for their possible future they show are all equally plausible, none are more real than the others
Honestly, after seeing how Lisa and her college roommate/girlfriend having so much obvious chemistry in just that one short scene, it's disappointing that Lisa ends up marrying Milhouse.
Lisa and Millhouse were such a toxic pairing. Millhouse was the definition of a Simp ! He only was nice to Lisa because she was a pretty girl. In the first future episode Millhouse admitted that the only reason Lisa felt in love with him is because he saved her from a fire which he put !
@@konanxhidan3202 Oh, god, I remember that episode, and how in the future, Lisa seemed to have thrown her life away after marrying him all because she couldn't get into the college she wanted (?). Glad to see that wasn't wholly the case, but their relationship is just awful in general. Like, imagine only being able to tolerate your husband when he became a zombie.
@@MxDae In the earlier seasons, even Bart (who was the best friend of Millhouse) did NOT wanted Lisa ending up with him *!* But for whatever reason they portray Millhouse as the "good guy" in the later seasons and Lisa as a confused "rebellious" girl. They completely ignore that Millhouse was a toxic simp, only cared for Lisa because she was good-looking. He put a fire (which could have killed her) only to play the white knight. Lisa had the most healthy relationship with *Nelson* ,who was ironically portrayed as the "bad guy".
@@konanxhidan3202 isn’t there even a segment in one of the future episodes that shows that Lisa still low key talks to Nelson through knockoff Facebook messenger?
@@booberrybex Actually in one of the new future episodes, she was in a relationship with Nelson instead with Millhouse. I prefered this ending much more.
Hey, homer is definitively not the best father, but he has been a good father a lot of times: -Lisa's saxophone is literally a gift from Homer, not even one, he gave her two saxophones, one even with an inscription in it. -the whole "do it for her" episode. -the first episode of the Simpsons is about how homer got the family a dog. -the last thing he thought about doing when he thought he was gonna die is say goodbye to his kids. I think you wanted to say: Homer being a good dad IN THE NEW SEASONS?
He’s always been a good dad when his kids really needed it even Bart. However when his kids are ok or causing trouble (Bart) he gets really selfish and mad.
She‘ll actually have two at some point :D And then marry Milhouse... Very predictable, but disappointing at the same time Edit: I present to you, the internet!
"I have a friend!" /She holds Lisa's hands and winks at her/ "Oh, maybe more that a friend" I love this part so much~ Oomaigad thanks for the likes 😭❤❤❤
The girlfriend thing was shown in a future/christmas episode. She was shown bi and polyamorous only to still marrying milhouse at the end. I think it's part of a whole long running joke: both milhouse and Lisa always being the one out in everything. Which at certain point it's kind of annoying bc "yes, it has to be Lisa" again
@@Slappap i remember watching a video where it was discussed the topic of "why does Lisa end up with Milhouse if she actually has more chemistry with Nelson?" The conclusion in the comments was that Lisa is a capable girl with a strong personality that values her independence over all. So Milhouse who has a low self esteem wouldn't contradict her on anything and would let Lisa take the lead in all aspects of the relationship. Something Nelson wouldn't do at least not in such a passive way. The conversation then went, analysing Lisa's personality and how this is influenced by Lisa's perception of her mother, ect.
"I play the most unpopular instrument there is... the jazz clarinet" As someone who used to play jazz clarinet, this is a mood. Who tf cares about the clarinet? 😭
I kinda want a future series instead of one off episodes. The current dynamic has kinda been run into the ground, seeing the kids grown up makes it’s something different and interesting
@@TheBigJayAgendaI understand your argument. However, the nuance of the situation is important. People on both sides of the argument get mad when they arbitrarily change a character's behavior. For instance, many people would get mad if a good percentage of well-established gay characters suddenly became straight. It's not that changing one character is a big deal, but their is tidal wave of movement towards a political agenda wether left or right, it will cause immense frustration for the people who merely want to enjoy their favorite characters.
@@eskaflorence5659 I remember it was in Season 23. I went back in watched that scene and apparently she was in a different lesbian relationship before the polygamist lesbian relationship. And that girl looked nothing like this chick, so.... Lisa really gets around.
Theirs wlso the episode where he says and then humiliates bullys because he was only one allowed to bother her. Caring.. Broken form of caring but caring.
In one future episode he dates one of the twins Sherry/Terri and when one of them tricks him into thinking she's her sister, he freaks out and gets disgusted with her because he's monogamous and faithful to the other one. He also goes to Grandpas grave to ask for advice regarding being more mature than his own dad, showing he's closer to grandpa than anyone else which we dont see a lot in the current timelime but its still very sweet.
Whaaa? Since a long time a go it was obvious! There's an special where she as older have relationships with girls and even is on a Polisexual relationship with 2 girls lol
@Logia dude im basing myself on the older episodes when se ALWAYS had a girlfriend, im not saying that because of some actitudes that she had she was bi, Lord...
i wouldve like the simpsons more if they aged up the characters and showed their lives, like i want to know what happened after this and why lisa married someone so bad if she had a good relationship with her girlfriend yk.
i really seem to enjoy stories with a proper timeline or coming of age over slice of life or episodic ones. its a shame there are far less of them than the latter.
I've never seen The Simpsons before but watching this, I can actually relate to Lisa. My dad is also alcoholic and my parents are also trapped in a fragile marriage. In fact, they're always talking about divorce in front of me and my sister.
i used to be in this situation too. my parents are divorced now and life is honestly so much better but i appreciate that this isn’t always the ideal path for everyone. all the power to ya, stay strong and remember it won’t be like this forever xx
Lisa strikes me as the kind of person who would have a girlfriend just because it's the liberal thing to do she's already a vegetarian and a activist so being gay seems like the next step for her
"While you had feelings of inferiority, I took the top bunk" ALSO THERE'S THE BI FLAG ON A PICTURE OF A RAINBOW AT THE FRONT OF THE CLASS IN THE START!!!
its nice to know that lisa can be happy i wish she ended up with a girlfriend instead of millhouse that way shed attleast haave someone that understands her
@@theAEDan oh, see I had an idea of what you're talking about. I just didn't want to be one of those "generalizating leftist" y'know as morgoth has laid out. I am a frontline leftist, and getting your entire idea of leftists from twitter is also a great idea and not bad
Theres actually been quite a few episodes hinting at her liking women, including in old seasons. Most are one scene deals like this one though, its never really been a fully written in part of an episoes plot
@@mrselfdestruct7605 So were they just ideas that didn't make it in the script or actual episode? I just haven't seen any. I've seen some hints with Patty before it was revealed she was a lesbian, but all the major love interests I saw with Lisa were with guys.
@@Yabuturtle yes and no, it was part of episodes but usually only shown or hinted through one liners or very quick scenes or jokes rather than played out as some of the newer scenes are (this one,her introducing her 2 girlfriends to her parents) and her characters identity isnt a main focal point similar to Patty Bouvier being a lesbian and having a handful of episodes centering around her relationships with women, or a character like Smithers where his identity is always very “in your face” even though hes never openly stated hes gay in any episodes, its sort of just a common understanding
Homer may be an idiot, but he is the kind of father I really want if he doesn't pull out what he does to Bart and choke me out, and I know what it feels like when people forget my birthday like what the school did with Lisa
That first roomate is taking the definition of “there’s always an asian that do what you do but better” to the next level, because they also do better in getting disappointment
