Mad respect and love for Vesaro for having a sim setup with a classic car to drive. Theres more to sim racing then GT3 cars and it would be hard to tell if you went to this esports expo.

Hey James, I think our paths crossed at least 6 times on that day (Saturday) and we even sat just 2 tables next to you for lunch, but you were so focused on filming that we didn't want to bother you. Maybe next year :). I still remember battling you from one of the very first iRacing Daytona 2.4h races (back when there were no driver changes) and fighting you for the entire 2.4h across all the pitstops and drama, amazing days :)

How do you remember all those details on simracing items from all the various manufacturers and publishers?! Outside of work I can barely remember my first name, last name, and if I take milk in my tea!

A common mistake that sim racing RU-vidr's make when reviewing wheelbases. They touch them and think t's a bad thing if they were warm. Actually the CSL DD was innovative to design the passive (silent) cooling, they used the shell to dissipate heat.

Absolutely GREAT coverage! I'm now just jumping back into sim racing with my old Virtual Roadster rig that was fitted with Fanatec Porsche Wheel and the original Clubsport pedals. Looks like I have some upgrading to do lol...Loved the footage!

HardCoreSim They have an interesting extension shaft that moves away your wheelbase if you want to have your screen closer, thus more FOV, personally I like my screen behind the wheelbase more than between the base and the rim, for some weird reason.

Samsung Odyssey G9 screen is so interesting for sim racing, everyone is using it. I'm glad that 90% of sim racing people got rid of the impractical trippples. The only problem is that the screen is ONLY A LITTLE TINY BIT smaller than to show you a glimpse of your right window behind your A-pillar. You need only 5 more cm so that you can see if there is a car along side you and see your right mirror. What is that screen 49 inches? We need 50 inches Samsung (I know this wish isn't become reality any time soon).

I love sim racing. All i have is a logitech g920 an Odyssey vr headset. Seeing all this tech pretty much confirms that I will not be going any further into sim racing because of the prices of all this stuff. It's completely discouraging knowing I will never be able to afford any of this.

I just sold my CSR Elite 1:29 and ordered a Moza R5...CSR just didn't feel great other than AC.

Nice video, lots of nice wheels that cant be easily fitted to a dd1. When is fanatec going to step up their wheel offering to match this other stuff? Seeming lly little innovation except these actuated pedals.

Although I love Fanatec, I love to make fun of them as well. About the steering wheel rim that has a screen that has a gyro into it and stays always vertical: This is the definition of: How to create a problem and create a solution to it. 🤣

Seems like all the wheel manufacturers are in love with Mercedes. Nice wheels some are, but I wouldn't want a specific brand attached with no way to change. After all, we're sim racing. We like to change cars like our thoughts, not wallets.

So, you should have stopped and checked the V-Rig a bit more (I checked out almost everything you showed). Unfortunately, it is about the price of a decent used car and does have more holes than Swiss Cheese but for good reason. It literally does every the Alpine Racing TRX from TrakRacer DOES NOT do. But the TRX beats it in price which wins in my book. I definitely enjoyed watching this. This is my first time seeing your channel too (i think). You literally look just like one of my best friends. Short, Bald and Bearded. I'll have to send ya pic, lol. You remind me of him too. Just walking around cracking jokes. Which you definitely held back a lot. It'll be interesting to watch that "less is more" video of yours about motion. Personally I think that sim racing manufacturers conspire against motion rigs to make spend all your money on their gimmick wheel rims. No person would believe that you should delete every kind of possible feedback and put everything only in a turning wheel. It's already overwhelming. I think we need more R&D by uber rich automotive makers who can invest millions and millions of £ into studying the actual person driving a race car like what feedback he uses and responds to and then investing millions into designing simulators for that and then investing into how to make the cost low and reachable for the main stream. Meanwhile, more mainstream people buying motion products will also help turn the wheel faster. I have never seen a video of someone studying and comparing every kind of motion feedback. And although I know that GamerMuscle is a fanboy for steering wheel FFB, I also trust his opinions when he tries something and talks about it.... I feel like I need to stop now because this comment turned into a long article.

I love simucube’s products and all but they’ve lost their f’ing mind with the pricing of those active pedals. If that’s the cheapest they can do it at then they need to continue working on it until they can get the price down.
