the best glitch i ever had was in the sims 3 with a horse. i told my sim to go practice hurdles on her horse and instead her mesh warped to be horse shaped and she started practicing hurdle jumping herself.
lol that sounds amazing I've never had that happen before. The craziest/darkest sims 3 glitch I've had was one time years ago I had a Sim running a daycare and at the end of the day several of the toddlers ended up dying even though toddler death isn't coded into the game, and since there's no toddler death animation their meshes got weirdly stretched and messed up too. Unfortunately I didn't record that one though.
When I was younger I was playing the sims 2 with my little sister and we had a cat and dog who died at some point. Later we went to a community lot and both our pets were there but acting like humans. The cat was using the swing and the dog was making farts joke to everyone. They were walking like humans too with their “arms “ stuck to there sides ! It was so unnerving!! I never heard of anything like that happening to anyone. I still have some footage of that but the quality is very bad. Anyway nice to hear a similar story somehow 😂😂
I had weird stretchy mesh issues in the Sims 3 as well, but not with toddlers. Somehow, one of my Sims fell in love with his car (like, rolling wants to propose to it and woohoo kind of love) and in return his car stretched all the way from the garage out to the dining table to eat dinner with him, kiss, and watch TV. The car turned into this stretching spike thing and the more its "limbs" moved, the more the "body" spread out of the garage and caused graphical issues on my poor old laptop. Scariest thing I'd ever seen in the Sims as a kid, I quit without saving and when I came back I was still so scared (this was back when I still thought Herobrine in Minecraft might be real and maybe Creepypastas have some truth to them) I decided to not even try loading the save---just deleted it and put the Sim in another neighborhood. Recently, I tried to recreate this glitch, but I guess none of my Sims have ever loved a car as deeply as Ghostlee the ghost loved his sports car, because I've yet to see another vehicle "come to life" like that.
Oh damn that sounds amazing lol. I know Sims can love their cars in The Sims 3. I think there's a trait for that right? But looks like this reached a new level lol.
Technically, even Sims are considered an 'object' in the code. The car accidently got Sim code and started using sim animations, while the model stretched out to fill the set areas with the polygons of the car that matched the numbers of a sim model. Most of the car polygons aren't matched to move like a sim, so they stayed in place.
Oh dear, why it looks so similar to Knut Futa glitch? (That is a dead adult sim in Strangetown, after you get him back to life he will act like a baby and his data is so corrupted that every interaction with him leads to a mistake.)
I hadn't heard of him so had to look that up I guess it's a similar thing where the character data gets corrupted. Man The Sims 2 is such a broken game 😂
Strangetown is a disaster in itself, it's literally already corrupted and it's getting worser every day. Interesting storyline, but unplayable sometimes.
@Rohan Kishibe but you can still spawn him in with the tombstone of l and d and make him alive i believe, i have use the tombstone to bring back skip broke but im not sure cause ive never done the experiment myself
I have never seen this game being so corrupted before lmao. The worst thing that happened to me was the wants and fears disappearing and just the blank blue background appearing at their spot.

like some other people have said, this could be a good concept for a creepy/weird/bad hood, where sims are routinely kidnapped and drugged/brainwashed into being pets for other sims. there could be a wealthy family that's behind everything, so to speak, and all friends of the family are future targets, some other smaller families could be unsuspecting victims that don't know what they're getting into, having just moved in, the kidnappings are interpreted as disappearances, etc. everyone would be very shady, untrustworthy... everyone's a backstabber trying to save their own hides before they become someone's new "pet". heck there could be a family that's composed of former human pets in hiding.... sorry for the weird and long comment lol, i get inspired by the weirdest things
Good ol' sims 2 corruption. You probably played the game too normally and the save corrupted itself. Lots of people forget that 2 was just has horribly glitchy as the rest.
The first time I experienced a glitch was in the sims 1, for some odd reasons I'm allowed to have my sims live and build a house in a community lot which enables my sims to own a mall lol. It was fun af
Wow, that's... fascinating to say the least. I didn't even think that this kind of mess was possible. How does the game mix up pet and sim data so effortlessly? I guess pets are just reskinned sims in the game's code
Most likely pet sims in the game were deleted and you know how the game deletes sims is just be scrambling their data. The data attaches to human sims and the game identifies them as a pet. It’s scarier when a pet sim gets a human sim’s file attached to them, then you have a dog with a human form and the want to get married
i would be fascinated to know how this happened. it seems that during the generation of this neighborhood, the game misread characters from a subhood as actually belonging to the pets stealth hood, therefore marking them as pets and putting them in the stray pool... but i'm not sure what specifically causes that to occur!
Yeah, I still have no idea how it happened unfortunately. It must have something to do with the subhoods though because the base game townies and NPC's were fine, I think. Most of the sim bin Sims were missing except the pet ones and most of the remaining bin Sims were corrupted. I have another video talking about those Sims on my channel: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uAaszwf7t64.html It looks like some Sims data got mixed with other Sims. Like one of the pet Sims Sarah Crittur was merged with a dormie from the uni expansion pack (I forget her name.) A lot of Sim's files have also been deleted somehow and all the expansion pack townies have their original game file name instead of randomly generating a new name like they usually do. But the mix ups didn't just involve pets although those were the most common and weird. Some other Sims just ended up with different skintones like Tiffany Sampson in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uo6rR8CKJKQ.html or they'd have the opposite gender set in their character files somehow so Sims that would appear to be male would sometimes be set to female and vice versa. I noticed that the most with the uni dormies and other townies. I think in a lot of these cases the data had been mixed with some other Sim's but it wasn't as obvious which one as with Sarah Crittur and the uni dormie.
Oh lord and I thought Knut Futa and Jeannie Chen were glitched really bad. This is legit horrifying lol. Have you tried using the controlpets cheat on them?
Yeah I started playing the game again this year but used to play it a lot in the 2000s so I've read about corruption. I don't think I did anything that's known to cause game corruption while playing (haven't used the debugging tool since I reinstalled it,) but it seems like it probably is corrupted. It's weird because I never had that problem in the past despite messing around with the debugging tool a bunch.
I mean the fact it's mainly dead Sims makes me assume you either deleted grave stones or bulldozed the grave yard. Sims 2 is just horrible at deleting character data. Otherwise I'd assume it's a boolprop related issue. I had no idea how much damage that cheat would cause. Since I've started a new neighbourhood I just play with the SIM blender because I am not going down that path again...
Are you using the cleaned-up Maxis templates? The ones that ship with the game are corrupted from the get-go, so it's a matter of luck how soon they start showing symptoms. I've never seen corruption take on such a wonderfully hilarious form, though. I suppose one should be happy for the silver lining!
Ah no I wasn't using those, it's a custom hood that I made for my prosperity challenge. I also noticed there were no playable sims in the uni hoods (I can't remember if that's the norm with custom neighbourhoods,) and at least one of the corrupted Sims is a uni one (Stella Terrano) so I guess that could be why and I got unlucky. Crazy because I never noticed any corruption side effects while playing in the past and then this is the first time I'd played The Sims 2 last year since maybe 2009/2010? But guess it had to happen eventually lol.
I'm not sure really lol. I think with corruption you have to play it for a long while before it gets to the point where lots don't load at all and it becomes completely unplayable (this hood was maybe a month or so old when I noticed the corruption so I hadn't been playing it a long time in the first place.) I do have other performance issues atm, but I think that's mostly related to my PC now because I've noticed issues in other games recently.
That's where nightmares come from... :') I'm curious, have you seen this corruption occur the other way around? With Sims that act like humans, but have bodies / meshes of Pets?
I did look but it seems like it only goes one way, or I haven't stumbled on any Sims that look like pets but act like Humans which is a shame because that would be pretty entertaining to watch lol. There's another thing where sims bodies and gender data are mismatched in this neighborhood that goes both ways so I'm not sure why this doesn't seem to. I'm planning on uploading a video soon with more footage of this though because I went back to the neighbourhood and noticed some things and I realised that the pet sims weren't moving because they're hybrid Human Sim babies with puppies/kittens (so their animation is split between a pet and a baby,) so if you adopt them as kittens/puppies and then age them up they start to behave more like pet Sims and it gets so much weirder. :')
you mean the sim in the corner of the screen with the yellow t-shirt? I don't think he's a newspaper boy but he wasn't adopted he's just one of the 'stray' corrupted Sims that gets glitched at the edge of the lot now and then, another is the break dancer (and there are a bunch of others who all have mixed up pet/Human Sim data.)
I don't think that's a mailman but there are a couple of Sims in the video at the edge of the two lots and that often happens as a weird side effect of the glitch. What I think is happening is they are also broken pet sims who are wandering around as townies, but they can't move like most of the pets (unless you adopt one as a kitten/puppy and age them up then they move around and act like pets autonomously,) so they get stuck on the side of the lot.
I'm planning on exploring that in my next video actually, but I still have some work to do setting up the neighborhood because I'm planning on making a kind of storyline out of the corruption this time.
@@samschofield2824 Wait, does reinstalling the game while having a custom neighborhood cause corruption?! Because I just reinstalled the game on a new computer and I'm planning to transfer the neighborhood files over!
