Hello everybody and welcome to SimSig!
SimSig is a railway signalling simulations game designed to put you in a real life signallers shoes. In this episode we'll be starting a new game, on the Leeds East/West panels. It's a hectic simulation which when it gets further into the day will keep us royally on our toes!
The difficulty is set to "standard" and we're to expect a normal level of delays and failures that would occur in every day operation.

"3S82, sorry luv, I've forgotten about you!" lol we all know that happens in real life but in my experience as a former driver, signallers will make up any excuse than admit they forgot about you!! When I was on the mainline, one of my colleagues used to call Reading "The crucible" as you always had to get a red [on the approach] before any other colour!! Enjoyed watching this (or more precisely, enjoyed your commentary)!

Thanks for that DistrictDriver! Yes it’s always the way isn’t it 😂 we’ve been forgotten about on our services many a time, particularly during disruption when the signaller is dealing with a million things at once 😂 Glad you enjoyed the commentary! 😄

FYI this is hilarious - I love hearing "industry humour" from various fields. Also yo, bedroom signaller here, no connection to the railways. Hungry for SimSig content!

You did a good job there! There's a similar game coming out next month called "Rail Route" on Steam. A demo version is available at the mo. Not as complex [yet] as this but still quite good.You can also make your own routes etc. It has a "endless" and "timetable" mode.

Thanks for that! I’m yet to cock up hahaha, I’ve had a nosey at rail route a few weeks ago and did a video on it (but forgot to press record DOH!!) it does look quite interesting but I think I’m gonna wait until the full release :)

17:40 ish - XXXX is because the TRTS was at the other end of the platform so you need to transpose the berth and cancel the other one. Happens at station termini too. Platform lines that are reversible have signals (and hence berths) at both ends.

i love simsig glad my local line is a simulation only issue is that its £30.00 and i do not have the money to buy it but glad someone did the mml from st Pancras and just north of Bedford called west Hampstead.
