Simson & MZ have a superb Chaincases. The chain runs in a lube bath. No need to clean. Its well protected & lasts much longer than open chain. & looks very neat.
Impressive. I worked at a large Suzuki/Kawasaki dealer in Yonkers, N.Y. in the late '60s and we had one of the Simson 250cc enduro machines in for some service, much like the one pictured here at about 0:10 in. It was equipped somewhat different and I recall I had a brief ride on it on a city street. Would like to have owned it, especially today. It's similarity to the BMW R-26 is a draw for me as I had a '57 model of one of those and it was a very satisfying machine.
