Simultaneous Elections: Breaking down the Ram Nath Kovind Committee's proposal 

Clearly Hindu doesn't care about the cost saving involved in ONOE. We are a poor country which can save lakhs of crores of rupees if elections are synchronized. This wasn't discussed at all. Also, the point about security is nonsensical. The security aspect actually improves. The number of troops required to guard central elections will not increase if we add state ballots alongside. Just like J&K voted in April 2024 alongside Maharashtra, they can vote for their state as well. Yes, the ONOE is a challenging endeavor but there seems to be a general lack of enthusiasm for any reform. Come on, we need to evolve. We need to cut down costs, become operationally more efficient as a country. With repeated stoppage of govt business the industry will also postpone their investment decisions. This is money gone down the drain. When the last time hung assembly led to elections immediately? Using this one rare scenario to delay a major reform is ludicrous.

Alos the money saved give to political parties. That will make them agree and hopefully reduce thier dependent on corporates and address corruption

forming such a biased committee to have a biased opinion. why form committee . just put it open the people here are to follow our autocracy.

Other than political leader/cadre none is bothered about one election concept..even if there is no election they will not bother 😊😊

This kind of election should be avoided, Without any consideration from other parties, even ECI do not have enough money and availablity of man power to conduct this kind off election. Full bench of BJP wouldn't accept. At first it's to be labelled in the parliament, without having majority in parliament how Modi could continue his power.

Even after having less majority to pass this bill why they are coming with this bill . Is it only for chanels to discuss or their intention is good for country . But no one is coming with suggestions . Why not to discuss the possibilities instead how difficult it is for government .

If ONOE to complete in 100 days . Will it be practical apporch ?

Mid term elections are not that frequent. Why focus on something that may not happen for most part? What BJP is trying to do is to bring certainty to the economic environment which will favor investments. If India needs to become a developed nation by 2047, such decisions are necessary. India is becoming more and more a business driven country. Rowdy, disorganized,disturbance based politics cannot be tolerated any further. Too many public projects are getting stalled due to these constant cycle of elections. If the government pulls this off, it is a smart move. Congress needs to stop with alarmist thinking like it weakens federalism etc and join the movement to make India a developed nation.

No this is reducing rights , one nation one election is reducing rights of Citizens.... We need multiple elections
