I have 1 query here. Why are we creating UDT with 8-15 bits of Cw first then with 0-7 bits of Cw? Is there any reason for it ? I feel some data gets transferred in byte format ?
Siemens blocks has predefined bit structure for control/ status words. We have to follow stuructre to read /write the data if we using those blocks. For more queries connect on Instagram.
I'm new to the world of plc and I have a few questions in reference to the video which by the way is very good. why do we use the DPRD_DAT and DPWD_DAT blocks instead of the SINASPEED block, what is the difference? and are all these variables in the plc data types all really necessary to put? THANK YOUU🤍
Hello Friend, I have not used that SINASPEED block, but as per the block description mentioned in help section I guess we can use it instead of using DPRD_DAT & DPWR_DAT blocks. Main difference is only standard Telegram 1 can be used with SINASPEED. Also, No need to mention all variables in data types but make sure you use the right bit to turn on as per the bit addresses. You can check the help section of the SINASPEED block. Variables are necessary to be defined in the data types If you use DPRD_DAT, DPWRDAT.
If your application does not required much functions go for the SINASPEED and share your feedback. For more queries you can join the Instagram handle. Thank you
