This movie really is alright, it doesn't deserve all the hate it gets. One part of this song that especially gets me in the feels is when Geppetto begs the Blue Fairy to "Make me wood, or stone, or clay, since you gave my heart away." He's essentially saying he'd rather be dead than have to go on living without his son.
This song has real true purpose meaning that comes from having a real true Heart,Spirit, Soul. All of the lyrics says and explains exactly 💯 what it's like for a real true Dad not to have a real true loving caring Son. Stone Cold heartless gutless are those who haven't any real true Human Humanity and make jokes about a classic film that means so much to many Adults in and around the whole wide world who can't have Children. @@Nick_C1997 I thought this movie was AWESOME, also I've still got both the VHS and DVD of this Movie, also Great Acting by Brent Spiner, He's just amazing portraying Stromboli, it's like he's Born for the Part, He's Just a National Treasure, Like Drew Carey, Julia-Louis Dreyfuss, and Usher, etc. etc.
Wow....the bit where Gepetto asks the fairy to make him wood instead is still pretty touching. This movie is really not that bad, I liked it a lot when I was a kid
What’s sad is that He was made fun of for being in it so much by his co-stars on what’s my line and other shows that he actually hates the fact that he was in it.
Oh my goodness. This was my entire childhood. And this scene in particular is so touching. I'm older now and realize that it's all cheesy fluff, but I can still quote every word to this movie and I cry every time I see this scene.
Just remembered this film from when I was 4 years old. Subconsciously remembering every word to this song. I’m in tears having flashbacks running to my father at the exact time Pinocchio did to Gepetto every time I watched it as a child. Truly a thing of beauty I’ll always remember, the love my father and I shared especially when this movie was on.
I love this song and how it truly reflects the emotions of someone who truly fell in love. How to someone truly in love, the only thing that matters is the well-being and safe-keeping of their loved one(s).
Even though he’s obviously uncomfortable in the role, this scene is actually really well done. Carey shows how much he loves his son, and it feels very genuine.
Dude, people always hate this movie but its so good!!! This was made like 22 years ago but still! It makes me cry so much! And sure the special effects are a bit cheesy but it's still really good
The social effect are made exactly as they’re supposed to be…it’s cartoony and heightened but it has a purpose and heart behind it and I’ve loved this thing since it first came in TV :):)
In the first episode of Star Trek The Next Generation, Lt. Com. Data is called Pinocchio by Commander Riker. Brent Spiner, who played Data, plays the guy trying to take Pinocchio in this movie.

Pinocchio: “Daddy, please don’t make me go with him!” Geppetto: “Don’t worry, Pinocchio. You’re not going anywhere.” What a great father who genuinely worries about his child being taken away from him to get exploited by someone who cares about earning money over anything. There are some exceptional fathers out there who lack the heart to love and care about their children. That’s why this scene is very heart touching.

Wow! I just typed this in because the Whose Line cast always tease Drew about it. I never realised he could act and sing seriously as well as just being a fun show host! But he's actually really good!
Watching"Whose Line," I was aware he was in this movie, but because of the "You got sole" song, I read that Drew actually sang in this movie. He sounds like he actually could sing decently... And now I'm in tears. Such a sweet song and he sings so well. Even if the movie looks a bit corny (and what is the deal with fairy's personality?), I feel I should just try and watch it one day.
This is a slight different version but for many men who like me so much wanted to be a Dad with our own son this does have a special place in our hearts. Yes it's just a film but means so much to many who wanted to be a Dad and have a son. And never got that because of things best not to talk about over injustice. Those who think and say bad and wrong and cause years of Hell with injustice to many family's who never wanted it. I seen the original animation way back when I was only a small very young boy and its always a family classic that will go on like Peter Pan. This film is a good musical that has a very good soundtrack and star cast. And our Data, from Startreak playing Stromboli. We'll he wanted to be human. Drew Carry from the Drew Carry show playing Geopetto Seath Atkins playing Pinocchio. All the songs are good but my best one is at the end. Since I gave my Heart Away. All the words says what they mean. Hay with a whole childhood of rejection I guess many of us who was rejected from birth do need a little Love. We find it in many made up fantasy make believe films. Two are. Peter Pan and Pinocchio. There many other fantasy films we get that little love we never get in the real world with real people. Childhood rejection made us who we are as men. It's good to have a true heart, soul, spirit. This is another all time family classic.

Well Data you got your wish. You wanted to be human and now your human. This is a film from the heart to the heart. It's a slight different version from the original Pinocchio. And it's very good. It's for those men who so much wanted to be a dad but never got the chance. It's about family to belong and a place called Home. Pleasure Island is amazing. This film is brilliant and will go on like the original classic animation Pinocchio. Back when I was a very young small Boy I saw Pinocchio and grew up on it as I did Jungle Book and Peter Pan. Those 3 films will always hold a place in my heart. The joys of an innocent childhood and not the ignorance of others. The real world has no place for magic. These 3 films has and always will. There the world's of our dreams hope's wishes.many have seen this and love it the same as me. Others have seen it and just can't stand it and don't like it for there own personal reasons. Many have not seen it. You know I don't or can't even remember free view tv ever showing this.
This is not the greatest movie ofc. It's not even very good. But Drew has that look that makes you happy if he is. This clip or part of the movie gave me the biggest smile :D
You know i was born with slight learning problems and i went to special schools. One thing i did learn as a very young boy in childhood.i did not make stupid idiots remarks about anyone as those who are on here. This is a family film with so much meaning to many adults and children.thats adults today who never had a special childhood. Adults who never became parents. I guess its good for many who have familys. Anyone who mocks and makes fun of this childrens film are very low cowards. I guess they had a special childhood. Its very low to be so cruel and destroy manys dreams. Thats what i see on here of those making fun of this film.You know children dont behave like that. They know and understand other peoples feelings.
