"Since I Gave My Heart Away" from the soundtrack of Disney's musical "Geppetto". Composed by Stephen Schwartz and performed by Drew Carey, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and townspeople.
My thing is he shouldn't be embarrassed because this was such a great film. I actually watch from time to time and you know what? I think it's so good it literally deserves a sequel. So, whatever embarrassment he has, he better get over it and get rid of it because I'm going to need him and everyone else involved in this film. Like...seriously. Nobody can replace Drew Carey as Geppetto...like nobody...like EVER.
I mean, it's cheesy and obviously dated. It's understandable that he'd be embarrassed - but despite that, it's been dear to many of us as children, so there's something to be proud of as well.
This song always warms and breaks my heart because it beautifully resonates how I feel for my son. I’d do anything to keep him happy, safe and healthy. Makes me tear up and smile.
This was one of my favorite songs from Geppetto!!! It always gives me tears in my eyes every time I hear this song! And when I found out that Stephen Schwartz did the music for this movie I thought, "no wonder I love Wicked so much!"
Yo, I teared up over this song when I reunited with it years after I saw the movie as a kid. I'm watching this right now, and I'm like, "YAS, DREW! YOU BETTER SING!!!!!" He could've freaking won a Grammy for this or some kind of award or something! I don't know why people think this comedian can't sing! He's FREAKING BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!
My oldest just turned 18 and he's busted to play Geppetto before he graduate. Now he loves it as much as me, if not more. It pulls at your heart strings and it pulls hard.
I really think that it is so beautiful and so lovely animation music video of a father’s love for his child Because It is one of my favorite animation music videos 🌼
Anytime I listen to this song I think of how much I love my niece. She’s not my own child however I treat her like she was my own! And I love her so much it would kill me to know she was being taken away from me; I’ve learned to love her and be there for her this song reminds me of her every time I hear it
I would feel the same way when I eventually have my daughter someday. I would give my very own heart away for her....it makes me cry when I hear this song now, I just watched this yesterday, I never knew how much I liked it :,)
ive been looking for this song since i was 8, im 16 now and ive always remembered this whole song lyrics and all and ive been going through alot and this reminds me of my childhood
this is the one song I sing to my girls all the time. they are my world. If I didn't have a c-section I would not have my youngest daughter. I have three kids one with god and two living and they are my life so is my hubby.
wow i am impressed ..the movie wasn't bad as what people say about it but the music is good too also it's awesome to know a Comedian can actually sing and not too badly i must say. Never Knew Drew Carey can sing he has a decent voice for a non singer I am impressed..wow this song is beautiful and who would have thought the then future "Old Christine" and "TPIR Host" end up singing in a Disney produced movie
Is it wrong to love this song? And even more, is it wrong to like this movie? I grew up watching it over and over, trying to sing along with a lot of the songs. It's not bad, it's funny and has an interesting twist on the tale, doesn't? ^/////////^ *blushes* Oops, I've written too much.
The part that gets me is when he then begs the Blue Fairy to "Make me wood, or stone, or clay, since you took my heart away." He's basically singing that he'd rather be dead than have to live without his son.
So take my home, here's the key! & all the value you might see! But if you take JACOB from me, that's a price I cannot pay! Since I gave my heart away!
@kalysha92, He sure is, and also not only is he the host of the CBS Daytime Game Show, "The Price Is Right". But He's In The Celeberity Wing Of The WWE HALL OF FAME.
does anyone else think this song would work in phineas and ferb across the 2nd demision also when I go on the price is right and meet Drew Carey i'm so gonna complement him on this song
