I was strolling along RU-vid Avenue one Saturday when I heard some excitement coming from a little bar up ahead...I squeezed my way into the crowded little place, ordered a beer and then THIS happened. Couldn't believe my luck!
I love small bars with a tiny stage and a loud band that’s right in your face! There nothing better! Especially when the musicians and vocalist are as hot at this lot. No one on the planet plays guitar like Greg Koch! These guys just melted my face off!
Check out his band...Ebunctions! Steve Ferrone on Drums (Tom Petty, Average White Band), Shane Theriot on Guitar (Hall & Oats), Jeff Babko on Keys (Jimmy Kimmel Show), Ethan Farmer on Bass (Aretha Franklin, Lionel Ritchie, Janet Jackson) & Woody Mankowski on Vocals/Sax (Larry Carlton).

There is a valid reason this song was always played as an instrumental with the trio. Why? Because frankly, not many folks could/can, esp. men could pull off the vocals for such a song. Obviously, Woody, you are one of those few and far in between rare vocalists who give this song the justice this song deserves. EXCELLENT job!

@@christinacapone7971 I've seen a number of those as well. I went to UWGB with Woody playing second tenor to him in the jazz ensemble there. Being in Wisco I don't get a chance to see him live.

Tight AF.. but nice and loose..Really nice phrasing and timing, Great performance.. I wasn't sure what to expect.. I was certainly Impressed.. I've subbed because its the natural thing to do..
Last night's appearance was really great. The crowd couldn't sit still. He even spent time with the fans after the show. Really nice and earthy person. We enjoyed the show in Ventura CA . Thanks Woody

Great rendition, awesome job on the vocals. This Koch Marshall Trio is going to be in a cool venue in upstate NY called the Hanger February 25. Can’t wait, been a long time fan of Greg’s videos.

Wow wow!!! This was so good!! Greg obviously one of the best allround guitsrists that i have heard(heard him in a music shop here in Västerås,Sweden about 15 years ago😊) , the vocals was also really great . But I think the drummer should have a lot of credit for his playing. Love from Sweden ❤❤
NICE JOB WOODY !!!! Sounded great ! Greg is probably the greatest guitarist I've seen live and I've seen A LOT . The Kochness Monster of Milwaukee , The Cheese Shredder , The Gristle King !!!

Gimme a break. Its a slow Blues tune. The Bloody Wankers are the ones who shouldn't be doing it.They stole all the old Blues guys stuff and called it their own.....and kids like you fell for it.
@@knifelyfe6565 First, their playing the Zeppelin version (imagine that). Second, I know where the song comes. And, I'm not a kid, don't make me put you over my knee for an ass whoopin', girl.

Really slick n nice cover..... koch is too good.. But kinda missed the sloppy slinky eccentric power of jimmy page...... that made the song tick when zep played it !
Well sung, and well played by everyone involved . . . Brilliant Version of a Brilliant Song . . . You all did real justice to an absolute Classic Track . .

My expectations for this were not really high, for fairly obvious reasons, not many can cover this Zep classic vocally, this Woody gentlemen (who I’ve never heard before) absolutely blew the roof off of it. He’s my favorite new singer. Koch I’ve known about for decades and is brilliant, not to mention the band. I am so glad I watched this video and can’t wait to hear more things from Woody.

What a phenomenal performance! Been following Greg for decades. Never have I heard him Jam with a voice like that! You crushed it and stole the show! 🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸

That was FN OUTSTANDING dude has that Tele 🔥💨🔥💨 Singers voice is EXCELLENT Drums are just right (not over played, but very crisp and solid). Bass player never missed a note. These 4 have put in the hours, days, years obviously.

I’m still trying to figure out why I’m just hearing about Woody Mankowski…I just listened to the Ebunctions record and I’m just floored. I usually lean towards listening to the old school classic rock/blues stuff. I’ve been so disappointed with music for the past 20 years or more. My gold standard for rock and blues are Steve Marriott, Roger Daltrey, Robin Zander, Robert Plant. Woody is now there for me. I would LOVE to hear him do more heavy blues rock belters like this. Unreal. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Outstanding version on all accounts… Fantastic vocals, amazing guitar work and nice rhythm section to back it all up… Led Zeppelin would be proud!!!❤️🎼✌️
Greg is an awesome guitar player, and a super nice guy! He always makes me laugh! I've been playing bar gigs for 55 years! Part of that time we had a guitar player like Greg. The only problem was, like Greg, nobody would tell him he needed to turn it down a little!! They both were ~25% too loud, and overshadowed the rest of the people on stage. I'm not that good, so I don't have that problem. LOLOL 8)
The cameras really close to the front of the stage. Guitar amps hit hardest right up front like that I’m sure you could hear the other instruments better from the back of the bar

I can’t hit that low note for sure. The high notes in this song are really high. I couldn’t do it all night…my voice actually isn’t high enough for this song. I just REALLY wanted to do it.😄

I've been to countless shows. I got to see the trio at the Hook and Ladder in Minneapolis last year. What an unbelievable experience. I can't wait to see them again!
