it's Laina and i absolutely adore her!! She got a solo when they sang survivor but not on the show. They had a few performances and she sings a solo during the song! Her voice is amazing!
Hannah and Geena are killing that intro. That beginning riff is so sultry and sexy. And girl is holding her own on that beat box. Also gotta give it up for the Amy as always :) Great performance!
They are great but they need to do some more upbeat songs. Ever consider doing "I'm a Woman"? Melinda Doolittle did a great job of it on American Idol.
@elysiumx2 They are ALL POWERHOUSE singers. So I don't know why you would think that other people thinks the only reason they are hanging around is because of Amy. They are all amazing and have AMAZING voices.
@nochmjv I love Amy's Grenade performance, and she did great here...but tbh, I LOVED Hannah's solo. It was perfect and right in the mood. And Geena's voice for How to Love worked so well cuz she didn't overdo it.
Good job ladies. My criticism for this medley would be "more softs please." It was kind-of loud the whole way through... it still swelled at points it should, but if it had been a bit softer at select moments the whole arrangement would have been more impactful. I love the sound, and I love the whole "powerhouse" thing, but I also don't like feeling like I'm getting yelled at. So just tone it down ever so slightly every now and then, and it'll be all that much better. =)
Yes, I know they all have great voices but AMY is flawless, her voice is better than all of them, it's a studio voice like a recording, shall i say.. So I think if Amy sang " A Women's Worth from 1:32 til 2:12 , It would be better...A killer!!.. Well lets admit Grenade was their best performance!!
@new0825 THey're totally all powerhouse singers, but I swear half the comments I see about them are like 'get Amy to sing solo.' It's a little frustrating as someone who knows a cappella. The whole point is that it's a group working together, not one soloist and backup singers (and all of them are worthy of solos).
Okay, I haven't been paying overly much attention to names throughout Sing Off so I don't know what her name is... but the one in the red dress that starts off at about 1:17 with singing "you can buy me diamonds..." is gorgeous, although her hair keeps throwing me off, they don't usually focus on her long enough for me to tell but it looks like the side of her head is shaved? I'm not sure if I'm seeing things or not. I'm not a fan of women shaving their (head) hair but shes so gorgeous
Finally realized that she's Kendall Young from 11th Hour, I thought she looked familiar. Kind of hard to miss someone like her. I wonder how tall she is... I'm hoping they get 2nd or 3rd, I'm a big fan of Pentatonix so I have to root for them for 1st, also hope Kendall gets a good role in the next show.
