A lot of garbage in those containers that are used once or twice and then thrown away, but I am impressed with the coordination of the entire facility.
Right now you don't see any ship at all berth at Singapore's Keppel Container Port. The port looks like a run down deserted place. No ship berth at the port. Not a single soul in the port. The port management is trucking away the balance few hundred empty containers. Further down the highway on the left is the Pulau Brani Container Port. Used to have many ships berth there but like Keppel Container Port, today if you are lucky you can see only one miserable ship because often there is zero ship at the wharf.
I bet so. SG has always been the busiest port in the world with millions of container throughput. We (Jakarta) are benchmarking our port performance based on singapore and hoping to compete better in the upcoming years
nickostrife Shanghai has the world's busiest port now, but the port of Singapore is the second busiest. I stayed in Jakarta for a month, but I have not had the chance to view their port in person, but I did see photos, and it looks very busy.
