At the end of the video when he was asked how he want to be remembered he said' Everyone who knows Roger Seow, will remember me". Back in the mid to late 90s, he was posted to the Squadon HQ and i was still onboard ships. i confirm nearly all ppl back then in my generations know Roger Seow. he is one of the best runner in the navy. i was in my 20s running a +9min ( 2.4km) and he can run probably near 10min ( 2,4min) at that age. i left navy 20 years ago, and i still can remember his name till this day. Wish you all the best sir, and i hope to see you someday.
I really miss the navy... As a gunner it was tedious doing the guns cleaning but that's the thing I miss the most because even my ship CO come down and helped at times so it made me and my fellow gunners feel good... Haizz I wish I could sail and be a gunner again... Sadly can't sign on
Just a thought, had you guys ever thought of doing a video of the most iconic Naval Institute Sergent Major, Harbahjan Singh? I think this story would touch many people, and bring back fond memories about him.
I love the sea n the maritime world. In 1977 I was enlisted in the army. While in BMT at Transit Rd.. Née Soon. Attached to Bravo Company.. 2nd Battalion.. I wanted to sign on in the Navy. Sad to say.. No able to.. Dues to unknown reasons.. However after ROD in 1979. In civil life.. In 1985 I manage to be a seafarer as a Merchant Navy.. This career was ceases in 1998..Looking back.. If only I'm allowed to join in the RSN.. Signing on.. What's a far more rewarding career it will be..?? Poor me!..
U more or less no clearance in the army and I believe u know the reason why. sometimes when one door closes, another door opens, you managed to be a seafarer in the end, don't you?
Encik seow is like my dad,you can joke with him,no prob,BUT that is only during free and easy. When they are really on the ball, try doing that lah, they will whack the balls out of you.I am completely sure.
So stains don't appear as clearly, while maintaining the pixel pattern to have "unity" with the other 3 forces (it's like why DIS has a pixelated uniform despite being literal keyboard warriors). Their no. 4 also has reflective sleeves so they can be more easily found if they happen to go overboard
@@breadiztasty Dont mind the food? That is against religion. It is an obligation for them to follow their practices. Likewise same for others who cannot eat beef.
because we have a mega port? and the singapore's waters is also a major strategic trading point ? we are smacked centre in a very busy trade route. so if there is no navy to look after the seas , wouldn't there be alot of pirates hijacking the ships?
cannot say , since he long service already , probably got into skirmishes with armed pirates back in the past or maybe during the period where indonesia was against SG joining malaysia federation?
"When the enemy attacking you, pretend to be dead lah". Old man, you are disgrace to the nation! If Lim Bo Seng is still alive, he will definitely kick your ass out.
Typical Pai Kia ( gangster) who signed up for the army(navy) because they cannot find a proper job in the market when the police clamped down hard on them. BTw thats original singaporee accent for u for viewers around the world. cheers!
There's no shame in not speaking perfect Queens' English. In fact, English is not his only language. He probably can speak at least 2 other languages Mandarin, Malay and several dialects like Hokkien and Cantonese. Your comment is a disgrace to yourself. Since when is the command of English language a guage of a person's character and achievements?
