My favourite at East Coast Lagoon food village is the fried oyster - Song Kee fried oyster #01-15

Melissa wanted to get that too, but Ash and I are not big oyster fans. I think its a very popular choice

This is what I like. Short and sweeet. 😁 Especially when Matt tried to explain the history of the East Coast (and Singapore's) shoreline, but oh so short and sweet because he was hungry. 😂 As I've said, "short and sweet", but definitely with a tinge of wit. 😂

Squid and cutterfish is quite different. Cutterfish is brown and translucent even after being cook. Squid is white and black once cook.

@tttan1843
@tttan1843 Год назад
@@ACoupleOfKiwis yes we keep learning. If you're still in Singapore, you can try cutterfish kangkong, or satay beehoon at the hawker stalls, they use cutterfish. But sadly, nowadays cutterfish kangkong is a rare dish. It's sweet with sesame and chilli loads of greens and cutterfish. Satay beehoon, it's just satay sauce dunk into steam beehoon with meat, cutterfish and kangkong veg. Have fun

Cuttlefish in singapore is usually brown because of a curing process that makes it crunchy. It can be found commonly in rojak, indian rojak and sambal cuttle fish. If not cured it is similar taste and texture to squid (sotong). Glad you are enjoying Singapore and all its diversity
