ABOUT SINGAPORE SIGN LANGUAGE
Singapore Sign Language (SgSL) is Singapore’s native sign language that has developed over the last 6 decades since the setting up of the first school for the Deaf in 1954. It is influenced by Shanghainese Sign Language (SSL), American Sign Language (ASL), Signing Exact English II (SEE2) and locally developed signs.

Thank you so much for your videos!! I am slowly losing my capability to speak, and your videos have been very clear & helpful in my learning of sign language. I am just curious, how ofter does sign language ties in with expressions. If I do just the gesture would it mean the same?

sign language uses a lot of emotions to convey its true meaning and nuances.

Hi Lily, May I know what the signs are in order. I know a few of them like sad, happy and angry.

You can turn on the captions; choose American Sign Language. The list does not have any sign languages. But note that it is Singapore Sign Language. Some sign vocabulary look similar, but in fact, different.

Hi, ive just recently started learning sign language. Can I ask, how do you sign “it’s okay” (eg when someone accidentally pushed you and you u want to say “oh no its fine”)? Do you just sign O-K ?

Yup, the word “OKAY” has its variations. You can fingerspell it as “O-K”. Or the gesture will do, too.

You just need to turn on captions; the "SUBTITLE/CAPTION" button is at the bottom-right corner.
