Thank you uncle, for taking the time to make this video. I grew up in Singapore until the age of 12 when my family came to Canada many years ago. These beautiful videos certainly bring back nostalgic moments of my Singaporean childhood.
Tekka market, That's beautuful market very clean and tidy, also all what i want to buy i'll can see, thank you for sharing your awesome video capture friend
Prices are cheap due to competition and cheaper rental as the market is owned by the government. The fish that I bought for $6 would cost me $8 at a privately owned market near my home. Thanks for watching 😀
*It's so cool that Singaporeans raise their fingers in front of the camera. Tekka Market is a really cool market, as I first knew it through the video. I found the seafood part interesting. Because I like seafood. Have a happy day.💕💙❤💯💯👍🙏*
This market is at the edge of Little India. I had a nice time filming it. From my interactions and travels, Indians are the most friendly people I have met. Do visit Little India when you come to Singapore again. If you like spicy Indian curry, there are many restaurants and eating places at Race Course Road and Little India.
_Excellent Chen, always love your intros and previews. Your unique style is reminescent of documentary makers and producers. Most stallholders seem to know you very well since your Farrer Park days. Steady lah Chen. Good work! Your reputation precedes you mate. Stay healthy!_ 🇸🇬😀👍
Jeremy, you light up my days with your encouraging words. You remain as the rare person who can read my intentions, style and see the effort behind each video. Thank you 🙏 I will make a Pek Kio marketing video if this video is well liked by viewers. Pek Kio is a small market and everyone of the stallholders knows me. There are 3 vegetable stalls there and I take turns to buy from each of them because they are all nice people 😀
Nice tour of the Tekka Market. Very enjoyable to know you can have that interaction with most of the sellers. @20.16 keep away from HER she don't deserve your business especially with that attitude!!!
We have nothing like that here, CM. I am always amazed at the variety of products you have to choose from - it seems there is nothing you can't buy in a Singapore market. Is there much wastage, or do most stalls sell all their products by the end of the day?
I have been featuring the bigger and popular wet markets. We also have many smaller markets where many things are not available. Prices are also more expensive due to lack of competition. All stalls do not clear all their products by the end of the day. There are always left overs. I guess these are sold at lower prices to people who can't afford fresher ones. I'm only guessing. In Singapore, all markets close on Mondays. So the left overs from Sundays will be sold on Tuesdays.
I was wondering to show her with the bad attitude in the video. Finally decided to let the real her be shown. Thanks for spending time to watch this video and commenting 💖
*I'm glad to see such wonderful scenery while walking through the video. Thank you for sharing the wonderful video. I watched full video and L70. Have a nice day. Greetings from Seoul, Korea.💕💯💯👍*
Haha you are very observant. Besides this, she arranged back the packet of veg that I touched. Imagine you go shopping, the sales girl follows you and rearranges every item that you touched immediately, in front of you. That's the feeling I got when buying veg from this stall.
@@SingaporeCityWalks Haha, can't help. I get paid by observing human behavior. Wah, she has always-neat obsession too much, haha. I wondered why she has a quite big stall since the service is fairly not good.
Very nice video! Unable to head down there myself so im glad for this immersive video. Agreed, the aunty selling the veggies was super rude. I wouldve stormed off. The way she placed the capsicorn back into the basket.. she just threw it back. Would have asked for a new one as she might have bruised it. And the way she collected the money, “hello?!”. Horrendous behavior, as if we owe her a living. Such sellers deserve no business, im sure there are other friendlier vegetable sellers in the market 😡
Her stall has a big variety of veggies and they are fresh. Sometimes I just have to accept her bad behaviour if I need the item she is selling. Otherwise I will walk away. Thanks for your comment my friend. Sorry for the late reply as I am attached temporarily to Bangkok for many weeks and have been extremely busy. I will be making many Bangkok videos since I am here till end October.
I am bedridden so I enjoy seeing things like this cuz I can't go out anymore. Btw next time don't buy from that auntie (last part of the video). So rude.
Hi Willie, the lady is rude but her stall has very fresh vegetables. Yes we should buy from the other stalls until she learn to be humble. Take care Willie 😀
