In a place like Singapore as long as you have work to do and are able to sleep soundly at night these are already things you can give thanks to in life already. Because there are places with people who dont have these. But its also basically all there is to it as far as Singapore can offer. You then endure with the daily grind and occasionally catch a breathe during long weekends and await for new year to have something to cheer about in life. Repeat this process several times and before you know it you will be old and dying and then you croak and you can finally rest and let go of everything in your life. Thats life in a nutshell. 🙂

Why can't mediacorp do a better job of showing the fireworks display? The camera angles are just horrible. I've seen RU-vidrs like 'BDW relaxation travels' and 'Singapore walking tours' do a much better job of showing our fireworks display.

As a taxpayer, I don't relish the waste of tax dollars on such events let alone the hypocrisy of reducing carbon emissions. I have to pay for this. Reduce our property, GST taxes and I will rejoice with you. Stop wasting money and making us pay for it.
