Greetings from Europe living singaporean, totally agree with you. Singapore is always my top/ No.1 choice. With exception of big space & seasonal climate that's I crave for might be compromise with. Trust me after living so many countries realise No countries is the best. Priorities the factors that matter to us. As you say, Design your life. Be bold to make the change.

Hi guys! For some reason my comment didn't work out. Let me try again: Signed-up! Paid! When originally I followed the first link in the description, which is the main page of the website, I didn't find a sign-up button, there was only login button available... Eventually, I followed the second link in the description and I was able to sign-up. I think this should be fixed if you don't want to lose your leads at the main page conversion :). I'll begin my course during the weekend but I love your episodes and the approach (no-bullshit, numeric, yet simple). The course itself touches a lot of emotional / behavioral aspects of early retirement / switching from salary guy to someone who responsible for his own wealth with smart decisions, and I like that. Congratulations on your course. By the way, this is my first course I paid. I don't like info business overall and I always took only free courses but this one was an easy buy for me, so, congrats again!

Yes if got money and want HIGH standard of living like clean, good road, transport system etc SG is still better than rest of SEA countries. But if budget is low and want QUALITY of life like space, food, friendliness, kindness, quietness etc then Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia is better choice.
@corporatebreakoutcouple
@corporatebreakoutcouple 10 месяцев назад
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! ❤️ No country is perfect. The price to pay for the high standard of living is that it will be more expensive than the other SEA countries. We have lived in both Singapore and Malaysia for years and it's always a compromise for certain things.
@BimBomPetrovich
@BimBomPetrovich 10 месяцев назад
I would not call kindness and friendliness as a quality of life characterstic and certainly I wouldn't call some countries more friendly than the other, in particular. Locations (cities, districts etc) - yes, but not the geographies (countries). I think I got what they say for SG (I have a friend who lives here and works for 9 years) - SG provides you great services and infrastructure that actually reduces your cost of living (i.e. if you use public transport instead personal). SG is a good one and I wish I had money to retire at Sentosa someday :D.

If u don't have income especially retiree, do u think u can stretch yr dlr. Everything is so expensive. Water, electricity, transport,gst n also tax upon tax like water. Also even if data say inflation is slowing down, thing like food n drink etc..u will also be paying high price. Example coffee few yr ago 70 to 80 cts now 1dlr 30cts, prata 80cts now 1dlr 20cts. Daily necessities also gone up fm 50pc to 100pc after uplift of covid.

@tanhakkoon yap usually 1yr be4 election will give some peanut to gubile monkey n will take back more than 100pc return 4 the next 4yrs. Even with huge surplus they still able to "brain wash" many monkeys to belief money is not enough. This is same pattern they adopt 4 the last 20yrs or more. The topic is abt retirement. Can u seriously stretch yr dlr in spore when everything goes up but never comes down. Do t u think for people with no income they can stretch their dlr on other countries tries like msia,Thailand
@corporatebreakoutcouple
@corporatebreakoutcouple 10 месяцев назад
Of course retirees have income. CPF payouts is a form of income. Interest from FD is income. Income doesn't mean jobs only, you know. All the more retirees need to stretch their dollar by making their money work hard. How? By heading over to Malaysia so that their dollar is stretched. By heading to other countries where the SGD is superior. Why do you think so many Americans and Europeans settle down in SEA? We are not saying abandon Singapore. The fact that Johor is just across the causeway is what makes Singaporeans so fortunate. A retiree has nothing but time on their hands. They can use that time, instead of watching TV and rotting their brains, to think of ideas to make their money work hard for them

?? You made a retirement video that immediately says legally you can't get a visa to retire in SG. Frustrating. Perhaps you can provide options for non-working relocation. @@corporatebreakoutcouple Maybe not in Singapore, but in American telling someone to "chill, chill" is a bit rude. As for your reply, you are saying the point of your video is to tell people in Singapore already why it is a good place to retire? How is that useful? And you reference foreigners without PR but don't explain what that means. And you don't explain that Singapore is actually closed to all but the rich and a few expats lucky enough to have worked in country for a while or have SG family. And you say you want to tell foreigners why Singapore is a good choice knowing full well that is useless information for 99.9% of viewers. Also, Penang is in Malaysia, not Singapore. Yes, the two countries share a border and peninsula but they are very different. This is just content spew to sell your financial services.

While you are young and have active income uou will definitely find Singapore a wonderful place to live in with the money you could spend. However some people may think otherwise once they are retired (not retired) with no active income and low savings. Cannot blame the opposition for exploiting these disgruntled (disillusioned) group of people.
@corporatebreakoutcouple
@corporatebreakoutcouple 9 месяцев назад
This is why we advocate people to start saving for their retirement now, even if they are only in their 20s or 30s. It's already too late to advice the people who are now in their 80s and 90s, hence our channel is mainly for people who are currently earning income from their 9-5 jobs.

Hawker food price is getting out of control, cook at home is the way to go. $5k salary is common? i feel majority are earning $2-3k. Definitely not a good place to retire but spending sparingly, still can survive i guess.
@corporatebreakoutcouple
@corporatebreakoutcouple 10 месяцев назад
As former hawkers ourselves in Singapore (we shared about our journey extensively on our previous videos), we totally empathise with the hawkers. They are just trying to make a living but inflation and other costs are pushing staple ingredients way up, like oil, rice, poultry etc. Not to mention gas, electricity, water, conservancy, rental, manpower. Plus the govt is always advocating low prices for hawker food. People have been conditioned to complain over a plate of hawker food but have no qualms dropping big bucks on bubble tea, coffee, coconut shake, fast food.
@JS-ev4xc
@JS-ev4xc 10 месяцев назад
@@corporatebreakoutcouple All I can say is that hawker food culture is not sustainable, this formula of being Singapore kitchen does not work anymore like before. Fast food is actually cheaper now, a BK Flaming set meal is only $5 including beverage. Cook at home is the way to go like most Western countries.

What is your definition of retirement?
@corporatebreakoutcouple
@corporatebreakoutcouple 8 месяцев назад
Retirement in our definition is retiring from work that we don't want to do, retiring from working for others & having money work hard for us so that it frees us up to do what we want to do, whenever we want, with whomever we want, wherever we want.

Most Worker party supporters I doubt they travel outside SG to appreciate government done for Singapore. I will only retire in SG. When I old I try not to hire a helper, till no choice. So much food choice for all budgets . As one get older,driving at night is very dangeous,SG transportation will bring u to 90 of the island and it handicapped friendly.
