If I'm not mistaken the slang "kacang" means ignoring because sellers of fried or roasted kacang (peanut) at a crowded place usually shout "Kacang...Kacang" loudly and most people just ignore them. Unless you really want those nuts.
This is mostly Jakarta slang. Other parts of Indonesia have their own slangs too. Mantap jiwa in West Kalimantan, puki around eastern coast of Sumatra, or more popularly; jancuk in central/eastern Java.

Di Singapura mayoritas adalah orang Hokkian jadi tahu istilah kepo. 2. Jomblo ini dari bahasa Sunda yg artinya telat nikah. seems like a lot of Indonesians don't understand what alay means. alay means 'anak lebay', so when you want judge someone, you call them alay instead of lebay(but you can call them lebay too). lebay is more like something they do. lebay itself comes from lebih, lebih is from berLEBIHan=exaggarated (so we pronounce the 'ih' in English 'ayh' as an exaggerated tone. leb(ih=ayh) > lebay. there's a song called 'alay' but stands for anak layangan. anak layangan is kids or teenagers who like to go out at night and nongkrong on the side of the road. they use tacky outfit with blonde hairstyle, they drink amer to be considered as a cool person and it turns them into alay. this is the lyrics from anak layangan: Alay anak layangan Nongkrong pinggir jalan Sama teman-teman Biar kelihatan anak pergaulan Yang goyang kelayapan
I went to singapore for 3 years, I had no idea what kepo is until I learned the word in singapore... supposedly a hokkien word?? I went back to Indonesia, and everyone using kepo as slang, and apparently it's supposedly an acronym of "knowing every particular object"?? Which to this day I still find it ridiculous! I'm convinced we got kepo from singapore... Probably spread from the indonesian college kids studying in singapore... I mean, there were tons of us, right?!
