Thank you! Hard to tell from far. Its normal for the wheel to spin not perfectly round because of the shape, but the play of it is pretty big. Maybe the screw is to loose or the arbor could be bend or something with the flange of the arbor. Is the excentric bobbin thread winder adjusted to the highest point?
Is there a good website or book for singer 29 restores? For instance, for information like what different models there are of the Singer 29 and what parts they need etc. Thanks in advance. :-)

The timing of this machines is determined by the wheels on the arbor. This wheels are hold by pins. Timing can be off , when you put the wheels back in and they are reversed. Then the pins shouldn't fit right. If you didn't work on the wheels, there might be a chance someone experimented with screws instead of pins and now the wheels are tilted and produces wrong timing. With the bobbin timing I don't know if its possible to mess that up. Maybe there is also a misaligned screw under the bobbin. Also maybe the hook isn't sharp anymore and can't catch the top thread properly.
weißt du wo man gute Ersatzteile für die K29 Modelle kriegt? ich hab eine da macht sie nicht den ganzen weg bei der stichlänge. also die Stiche sind zu klein bei der größten Einstellung, hast du ne Idee woran das liegt? vielen dank für die tollen Videos.
college-sewing co uk hat die meisten Teile erhältlich. Man muss aber beachten dass die Teile vorwiegend für die Singer 29k-71 konzipiert sind. Bis zur 29k-71 haben sich manche Teile verändert in Bezug auf Form und Maß. Es gibt bestimmt Teile die mit äteren Modellen nicht zusammen passen. Von deiner Beschreibung her, würde ich dir das Ersatzteil namens "FEED MOTION BELL CRANK LEVER SINGER 29K" empfehlen. Sollte es nicht wie das alte Teil passen, musst du es ein wenig feilen. Dann geht das in Ordnung.

leaving this machine soak in diesel could relieve the disassemble process less friction on the screws and moving parts that where tight stuck because of the thickness of the heavy oil used!

These machine are very useful, but there are so many of them, there shouldn't be any concern for any damaged history. If it was a machine in perfect condition or a rare model I wouldn't say that, but in this case it's really no big deal.
