Singer Featherweight AG from 1941 that needs a makeover. She was in so-so condition but I went for a total makeover for her. So sit back and enjoy the ride. lol. Thanks for watching. Sew Terie
LOL. This one doesn't smell sweet but it is not my favorite fragrance. I love the old ones as well. I have to say this one was the gunky-est ever. But she sewed before I took her apart. I would never want to fix a machine that will never sew. Thanks for watching.
""hunk a mess"" hehe. Always an adventure to look inside. Besides oil, I think grease was added on top of old grease. They sure clean up nicely though. Have fun.
Thank you so much Mr. Andy. I love the adventures, even the mess. Did you see that case? Oh my. I hope I can get her cleaned up and working and looking spiffy again. Thanks for watching and for your continued support. I learned so much from you sir. Stay well. 🙏
I was thinking that as well. But that would only be if I foil this machine. Not sure what I am doing yet. But, the machine I did foil . . . Oh my. She's gorgeous. to me anyway. Thanks for watching.
This is an awesome find! I can’t wait to see what you do with the machine! I’m not sure how you’d go about it but I think it would be awesome if you could restore or refinish the case! I love how the handle is attached! I have a Featherweight that I inherited from my mother in law. I have never used it and I’m not sure if she even used it much. It is in nearly new condition! My husband is very mechanical and he said he would take it apart and give it a good cleaning! He has restored a couple of my Willcox and Gibbs machines! Anyway, it is on his ‘Honey Do List’.😊
Thank you Laura. I hope that your hubby can get that one cleaned up for you. I think you will enjoy using it even if only once in a while. I never thought I would buy a featherweight. I didn't see the attraction, but of course, now I do. Thanks so much for following along. WILCOX & GIBBS. I love those machines. Do you use them??? Have a wonderful day. More to come.
@@sewterie yes, I have used the Willcox and Gibbs machines I have. I have one that came from Ireland which has a larger hand crank, one with a smaller hand crank and one with the treadle. I do have 3 other ones that haven’t been restored to full working condition one of them is an electric machine. I just fell in love with them and for a while couldn’t seem to leave even one behind! I have too many antique and vintage machines at this point and am simply out of space! I made my husband, who is my biggest enabler, promise that he would stop buying them for me at least for a bit!😀
One day I'd like to touch a vintage Singer. Broke disabled artist can't hope to own one, has no where to put one. But if I could like. Touch one. With my actual fingers. I can cross that off my silly bucket list lol
I stay up nights waiting for them to drop on the various auction places. Then I try to find a BUY IT NOW. I can't be bothered waiting. lol. Thanks for watching.
