"땡" (DDaeng) is an unofficial song by RM, Suga and J-Hope. The song was released as part of the BTS Festa on June 11, 2018. They wrote, composed and produced the entire song. BTS Festa is BTS anniversary event every year.

RM's not even raising his voice in the song because he doesn’t have anything to prove to anyone, it’s like “I’ll just give you this real quick, don’t even worry about it” 😂😂

thank god for rap line who are geniuses and thank god for korean language in which so many wordplays are possible. JHope is the master of flow switch. He has many styles and has his own vibe. Suga's rapstyle and lyrics are always on point and deadly. His lyrics can stab you right infront of your face. RM has a passive-aggressive style. Sometimes it's indirect but attacks you from behind. Well, that's what I noticed. 😁

can't believe that this is just a free song they release on Soundcloud as a gift for their group anniversary. it is such a high-quality song, especially with the genius Korean wordplay in it. BTS always say that their Soundcloud release is just for them to practice their producing and songwriting skills but a lot of them are really "official release" worthy it's crazy.

Ddaeng is so good that is the fasted song I've ever learn in BTS discography 👀. Like Idk how because it is almost everything in korean but I learned every single line reading the hangul (Namjoon's part is the hardest tho 😫) But I guess I can flex lmao 😎

There are always discussions about the best rappers in South Korea, and among the few who are named, BTS ENTIRE rapline (not just one member) is always in the top if not the first. The fact that RM and Suga were rappers in the hip-hop underground years before entering the idol industry plays a big part, because they are well-known and so are their skills. Besides that, their lyrics are unmatched except maybe Zico, who is also a rapper who is very popular as a solo artist but also with various groups he joined, especially Block B. Besides, know that Zico has a collaboration with RM back in 2008 (two years before he became a trainee under Big Hit), and that they even did a "battle" performance stage between the two groups at MAMA 2014 who remain iconic. Anyway, to come back to the BTS rapline, not only do they have lyrics and wordplay out of this world, but the sounds, their techniques and skills are really amazing, and RM is arguably one of the strongest rappers in ALL K-pop and is praised highly by hip-hop Korean seniors like Epik High (especially Tablo) with whom they became close friends (with Suga too), but also Tiger JK, The Godfather of Korean hip-hop with whom he has a feat in 2018 called "Timeless". He has also been praised by Wale. As for J-Hope, despite the fact that he does not come from a hip-hop background he has indeed learned from the best and developed his own style. He is even the most followed soloist amongst K-pop and Korean artists on Spotify, he has over 9.3 million followers. And he ranks fourth for most-followed K-pop artists on Spotify (so that includes k-pop groups). The thing is, RM's mixtapes are very hip-hop, he's got his own style, so he doesn't broached to the more mainstream side (even though those mixtapes, especially his last one had big records), and the mixtapes by Suga are very introspective and thoughtful, it's heavy hip-hop, so still not for everyone. While J-hope's mixtape is more reflective of his personality and rapping style, and despite the deep meaning of it, it's more within reach of people in general, which is why his only mixtape of 2018 is arguably the most listened to. RM is working on his third mixtape, he indicated that there are unexpected surprises regarding the artists he collaborated with in it, he is probably the one of all the members this year who has a mixtape in the works that he will release first. J-hope is still working on his second mixtape, and even though he planned to drop it this year, he still hasn't finished it yet. Ps. Also V will be releasing his first mixtape this year, the vocaline's first to do so. Jungkook also has a mixtape in the works but he didn't specify that it's for this year. Ps(2). They have another performance but with the vocalist trying at rapping, it's hilarious to watch. Also, to understand this song, I recommend DKDKTV again, they make good explanatory videos especially when it's Korean culturally related.

(It was a surprise, during BTS Festa/Anniversary week... I believe it was released that same day, or the day before). PDD: I checked... Ddaeng was released on SoundCloud, the 11th of June of 2018. This performance happened on June 13, 2018.
