There is a difference between a singer and an artist. Singer can change the colors of a song and make it her style. An artist can take the same song, rearrange the colors and strokes, and created a newer song. You can still see her signatures on both pieces of work, but they are vastly different. Angelina is moving towards the artistic realm and the music world is better for it.

Yes, Angelina is "tops" for this song but by an almost immeasurable margin. It took some heart searching for me to reach this conclusion. Why? The first performer I watched and listened to covering this song was a young English singer, some 18 months older than Angelina. Her name is Courtney Hadwin. As with Angelina, she sings "emotions". Perhaps not with the consistency of Angelina but certainly in a few of her performances. @@alberttenfoot I listened to this a while ago, Albert. Thank you. Courtney Hadwin does this very, very well. I love that one too. However, she does it in her own Hadwin-style, with more various vocals, that is maybe not "doing it" for everyone. But you are right about her emotions. Angelina on the other hand, sings this in a very "even", calm way throughout the song. Her emotions are shining through in every word she sings. As I am holding on to her every word. No surprises, no acrobatics. That is what I love most about Angelina. She is not building up to something big, or escalating her performance, she is just there, giving all her emotions and soul from the first tone. I love it. We also know that this performance does not have room for too much change of arrangement, since she has another 2 performers with her, and the music is a production of AGT. In that concept, she is doing an outstanding job.

What Angelina does here, at 4:35, the little vibrato in the end of the word "around", to add her own effect, is absolutely wonderful. I know no other who does that this way, and no one has done it like this in this song of all covers I have heard. This is Angelinas trademark. Outstanding, first class, top of the world.

Thank you Nya that was a great reaction & review. That was her 3rd song at AGT champions. She was 13 she turned 14 on 1-10-20. The clothes she wears, she makes a lot of them herself. Angelina Jordan with her wonderfull and fragile voice, even if she hit those high notes, it sounds almost like crying, was 13 years there turning to 14 but many people now estimate her to be older than she really is because she sounds older, her soul is definitly older and she is very tall for her age (6 feeth?), knowing she is barefoot there on the stage, always faithfull to the promisse she once made to that poor child she met more than 7-8 years ago who she gave her her shoes, herself as a little child, and she said she would be barefoot on any stage as long as not all the children in the world have their own shoes. Well said, Claudio, but I must say I rather like the crowd interaction, especially when Angelina gets a standing O during her big note. Not often a singer gets a standing ovation with the song still in progress. This particular performance without the crowd enthusiasm is a bit like watching Mario Andretti racing with no engine noise. The performance as a whole, yes, one of the most beautiful things AGT has ever put on TV.

What separates Angelina from every other child singer is the fact that she is a bona fide musical genius. There are some amazingly talented young singers, but none of them have the inate abilities that Angelina has. Angelina’s vocal versatility is unmatched. Most child singers focus their attention on one genre and they do not deviate from that. Watch Angelina’s six through ten year old performances and you immediately see how exceptionally mature and professional they are. Angelina doesn’t approach singing to impress her audience with her technical prowess. She sings because she was born to sing. Angelina’s soul speaks directly to our souls when she sings. The emotion is palpable as is her passion. We hear other child singers, but we feel Angelina sing.

angelina probably came up with the arrangement herself as she plays violin , flute , piano and guitar. i read a year ago that she was close to mastering sax and several stringed instruments also.. she is truly a musical genius not just the greatest singer of all time. she still has 5 1/2 teen years left...we are blessed...
You mentioned her recording of "I Have Nothing" and how much she's grown since. I think we all have to take a _time-out_ and reflect on the fact that it was recorded just little more than half a year prior to this performance and that Angelina was just 13 years old when she sang this song.

This was prerecorded in Oct. 2019 then aired in Jan. 2020 after Angelina's birthday, she is 14 now. But when she sang it she was still 13. I don't think the song "I Have Nothing " was the best style of song for her, if you look at her "Feeling Good" son when she was 10 it's perfect, but I fell her strongest type of song is jazz. Maybe you could do one of her originals "What is Life". Speaking of originals I was watching Only You the other day and there's over 5,000, it's coming up.

I couldn't concentrate on her voice in this show performance. I know it's just AGT's setup to put 3 together, but I still don't like it. Regarding emotions, she did make one of the judges cry at her very first performance at NGT. And it has only gotten stronger.

Yes, I believe this was the final song Angelina got to sing for the voting which I think is extremely unfair. They should NOT have had that woman doing that sand art in the background while she was performing. It took away from Angelina's performance soooo much! The sand artist was fantastic, yes, but should have been given a chance all by herself, not with Angelina. Angelina is a beautiful, out of this world singer, especially at her age, and I think she was ripped of her allowed time to perform individually. When you're THAT good, you deserve it. Shame on AGT.
