Home free great but now I will introduce you to the best 4 member male crossover harmony group in the world. Where from? Ha! Korea of course! They are called “ Forestella” They sang the Simon Garfunkel classic that you reacted to “ The Sound Of Silence” but what brought them worldwide recognition and millions of avid followers was “ Bohemian Rhapsody” by you know who. They KILLED IT!!! One of the band members has a base baritone voice and one has a high operatic voice and the other 2 have amazing voices and they all together harmonize outofthisworld!! How can you go for two months without doing another HF reaction...it's like holding your breath for an hour! Comparing and "ranking" HF songs is like choosing your favorite ice cream flavor! One day you might be in the mood for chocolate and the next day vanilla's the only choice...but dude, IT'S ICE CREAM! BoyzII Men was a great R&B/soul performing group and they recorded beautiful music. This is a great cover of one of their best songs. It puts to rest any notion that HF is "just a country band." This performance would have convinced me that HF is also a R&B group...but then they released "When a Man Loves a Woman." WAMLAW is also R&B...from a generation earlier. The original artist, Percy Sledge, wrote and released this song in 1966, and it became one of the best love songs of all time. Home Free is so good. They’re an “a cappella” group so they use no instruments. They won the NBC show the Sing Off in 2013 the year after Pentatonix won. Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men was a judge on the show and he loved them. You can see those videos on RU-vid. I’m sure Home Free wanted to do right by Shawn. I think they did an incredible job. They have so many songs and while they do a lot of covers they also write and sing their own songs too. Try How Great Thou Art, Blue Ain’t Your Color, Die a Happy Man. Good reaction.
The best thing about Home Free is that at Any Time, Any One of them can lay waste to whatever you think a singer should be able to do. Besides the beatboxer who can actually make any sound you wish, the 4 voices swap ranges and parts like they are just shuffling cards. In short, welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole with the rest of us.
Sorry I missed it Mrs P. But I’m here now to show support 👍. This is one of my favorite groups as Tim Foust is the only person I’ve ever heard with a singing voice as deep as mine. Although I chose to pursue a career in security I always wonder what would happen if I would have been a singer.
It’s never too late to start singing, maybe a church choir, men’s glee club, or a local barbershop quartet as a way to begin. Of course, there’s always karaoke. Best of luck shaking the seats. I agree with everyone's comments about HF's cover of the 1966 soul music classic by Percy Sledge "When a Man Loves a Woman." ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--pygPmfGQvU.html ) Anyone who tries to dismiss HF as "just another country music group" will be shut down by this performance. It's "blue-eyed soul" at its finest.
