The main difference between Dimash and Marcelito is that Dimash has been classically trained for years, but Marcelito is self taught and has had no formal training. That makes his ability that much more impressive.

Marcelito is famous for being able to mimic any singer, male or female, in just about any language. He has a fantastic range and an ear for voices.

Marcelito is an inspiring story. His father went to prison when he was very young. His mother abandoned him at the age of 4. He lived in prison with his dad for a while then bounced around a few foster parents before running away from home at 7. He was homeless and living on the streets for over 10 years before he got some help. He taught himself to sing like that. He would sing when he was scared and I imagine that was often. He won Philippines Got Talent in 2011 (I think) and he used being on the show to find his family. He's since gotten married and has a daughter. You'd expect a life like that would leave emotional scars, but he seems to be a happy, funny person who's generous towards others.

And he was doing all that while seated. 👏🔥❤️

Don't think anybody can be taught to sing like that. Without a doubt this man has a gift.

Great review! Yes, Andrea Bocelli is a male opera singer. The amazing thing about this performance is that Marcelito is not only singing in different octaves, he is switching from head to chest voice, female to male, pop to opera and English to Italian (neither of which is his native tongue). He is switching rapidly, seamlessly and effortlessly and doing it all while seated.

This young man here has done himself proud, from being abandoned on the street by his Mother at age 7, and his Father being in prison, he taught himself how to sing like this. Marcelito is the true definition of perseverance and determination, a true beacon of light to all of us in the world. This man had absolutely nothing but he took what he had and made something of himself, that is success in a nutshell. He is a gift to all of us who can hear him and be mesmerized by his God given talent. He won on Philippines Got Talent, and the first thing he wanted to do was find his Parents. In spite of them NOT being there for him while he was growing up, he wanted to find them which he did and he forgave them for what happened, that is truly a man who has no anger towards another human being in his heart. His wife and child are blessed to have this kind man in their lives, he has stated he is going to be there for his children and is doing just that. he could have been a statistic, but instead he chose the path to success and he has done just that. God Bless this man, his family and all who come in contact with him, we are blessed to have him on this earth and we should appreciate him for what he gives us. Oh and by the way he does this while sitting down, like he is just kicking back at the dinner table with us all.

FYI...That’s his real voice. He’s singing in Counter Tenor and singing in baritone. He has a special talent. A lot of professional singers have said that what he does is extremely difficult but he’s able to do it so flawlessly. Andrea is a famous singer from Italy & Celine from Canada. If you closed your eyes you would not know that it was 2 people. He’s also singing in Italian & English is not his first language.

Funny thing about the Marcelito and Dimash debate is that Marcelito is true to the song, the singer whereas Dimash is true to himself and like the seals that play the horns, you don't care what song they play you just watch. Once in awhile you will hear Dimash's real voice come thru and it's average and because of that I give him a lot of respect for expanding his range so that he is able to find different sounds that are amazing. If you want to see who Marcelito is watch a video with him doing a duet with Morrisette and when he first comes in he uses his higher range and it's amazing! It's better than her's but he quickly goes to a mid-range so that he doesn't steal the show. Reminds me of a line from Eddie and the Cruisers 2: Eddie Lives.. Eddie and Rick are having a jam session and Rick goes crazy. When he finished he looked at Edide hoping to get praised but he didn't get any. Eddie said it was nice... Rick got mad.. Eddie went on to say that if he was somewhere and saw him play it would be nice but he would go home and forget him. Dazzling a crowd is easy but its not just about the music, if you have something to say than people will remember you. Marcelito has something to say, Dimash is all about dazzling a crowd.

Do last is a highly trained singer. Marcelito is pure natural talent, from about age 7 to 20 he lived on the streets and sang to himself whenever he was scared. He has never had singing lesson in his life.

He could imitate & duplicate any sound. He was abandoned as a baby unlike the other guy that had an opera star for a mother and father. Was taught music from the cradle. All he has is his own voice one voice, it’s very high. Marcelito has the talent of 1 million voices with no formal training. Honestly no contest between the two. The other guy with very wealthy & educated parents. Marcelito lived on the streets when he was small. A little while stayed in prison with his father. Then adopted by one of the prison guards when he was much older. Again no contest between the two! Big difference is one’s very arrogant and Marcelito is very humble and does huge amount humanitarian work for his country.
