Marcelito's inspiring story ~ Marcelito's father was incarcerated and at just 7 yrs old, his mother abandoned him on the streets of a poverty ridden city in The Phillipines. Marcelito would sing to comfort himself when he was afraid and lonely. To survive, he cleaned chicken coops for coins and he would sing to the chickens. Through all of that, Marcelito remained kind, gentle and humble. When he sings there is a certain magical touch that touches peoples' hearts and souls. Not only does he sing in saprano, tenor and baritone registers, switching effortlessly within the same song, he is also singing in two different languages, neither of which is his native tongue. He is Phillipino and being homeless by the time he was 7, he has had NO formal voice training. He was adopted by a police officer when his mother left him and his sibling and his father was incarcerated. He is 39 as of this post (05/28/2023)....Can you tell he is my favorite performer??? hahahaha You ought to hear him sing Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.... I cried the first time I heard him!!!
